almost 3 days and CA works as expected... running on rrc=5 after switching back from rrc=4 after LMT request
however it does look like it's running like rrc=4, because CA bands are not dropped when I don't have traffic
So, I've switched back to rrc=5 as per LMT request and it seems that it's running much more stable now after they changed something on their end. CA bands are released/assigned as needed and I always get full CA capacity when downloading. Will see if this still works in the morning...
For some reason rrc=4 did not work for me at the beginning. But after several restarts and interface up/downs it suddenly started to work. Not sure why, maybe try unplugging power for a few seconds after setting rrc to 4…
Got contacted by LMT already to try enabling RRC=5 back, they changed something at the tower. Will try that in an hour and let you know the results… However this seems to me more quectel related, because you can find similar issues in their forum with different carriers… so this is not something LMT...
I was trying this on my indoor backup unit... maybe the signal indeed was too weak. I just enabled it on my outdoor Mikrotik ATL LTE18 and it seems that it does not drop CA bands anymore. I mean the bands are persistant even if there is no DL traffic. Looks very good. Will see if CA bands are still ...
I’ve been having CA issues for a while now and I kind of know when they work and when not :) I did set rrc to 4, rebooted, after 15-20 min CA are gone and downlink usage does not seem to have any effect. Cell monitor also reports only primary band… Are you 100% sure that changing rrc was the only th...
just tested on LMT LTE18, does not seem to work ... I still loose all CA bands in about 20 minutes and they never return... is there something else you might have modified through AT commands?
Came across this thread accidentally and it seems that I've been having the same issue. You can just read my post here: https://forum.mikrotik.com/viewtopic.php?p=978765#p978745 TL;DR - Mikrotik Chateau LTE18 tries to use 4x4 MIMO even if you have enabled external antennas. And if your signal for in...
It looks like it comes down to 4x4 MIMO kicking in and using both external and internal antennas which triggers dropping of CA bands because of the low signal quality for internal antennas. I don't think 4x4 MIMO can be disabled with AT commands. This seems to be available only for EM160 with AT+QCF...
Sorry for digging up old posts, but I decided that I should probably write here instead of creating a new one with the same issue. I have been experiencing the same issue for a long time now with Mikrotik LTE18 modem from Latvian operator LMT. Found this topic a while ago and I can confirm that the ...
I bought it from www.omg.de. It's about half year old, still under warranty. Can I RMA it in Latvia or do I need to send it to Germany for replacement?
Accidentally came across this topic. I have the hAP AC and I can totally repeat the issues with the unit by having different room temperatures. I have exactly the same issues as TaurusThree - speedtest.net shows excellent speeds. But when downloading something from a distant server then the speeds a...
