Re: Connection problems with iPhone when using fixed DHCP lease

Good evening (o; Experience some heavy connection problems when using my iPhone 8 with iOS 13.3 and RouterOS 6.46.2 on a small hEX router.... As soon I remove the fixed DHCP lease the problem is gone....sometimes it helps just to renew the lease (turn WLAN off/on). Is this the correct way to enter ...

Re: ProtonVPN on Mikrotik

I am kinda new to Mikrotik, so would appreciate if you've got this figured & fixed to post a little How To/ Tutorial/ Or key steps (maybe leverage an existing How To w some changes)? From the bits of information you've posted instead of the complete configuration, I assume that you didn't get t...

Indeed. I still have regular WiFi issues with my apple products at home.
Any thoughts on what approaches may be tried?

Re: DHCP Offering Lease Without Success

For me the problem is with static addresses and seems to be connected with this option which sends offer even if there is no demand for it. Converting dynamic address to static makes this option somehow "checked" even DHCP server has it "unchecked" so if you forgot to uncheck th...

Re: Apple devices flooding DHCP server

So I turned the IP assigned to my iPhone to Static DHCP on Router.
Disabled WiFi & Enabled. It wont connect.
Even removed the WiFi by using Forget Network on iPhone. Still no go.

Whats with this attachment to previous IP?

Good morning, seems like just UPnP enabled does the trick ;) I've removed all NAT rules and got good uploads. Thanks!
UPnP has not worked for my Seeding. "No incoming connections" on Deluge. What app you using?

Re: I need open ports to work with qbittorent

Public address is something other than 192.168.x.x, 10.x.x.x, 172.16-31.x.x or 100.64-127.x.x. The matter is complicated by the fact that it doesn't have to be necessarily directly on your router. ISP can have public address dedicated to you on their router. So the best way is to check your contrac...

Re: 802.11ax [SOLVED]

Trying to get this back on track.... as was mentioned, Wave2 AC can segment transmissions on 20Mhz increments. Ie, an 80Mhz Wave2 AC channel can be 4 separate transmissions to a client. This requires Wave2 APs though, so very limited scope of value here. Wave1 APs won't do this. 802.1ax and OFDMA o...

Re: Cheap APs & Routers to pair w low end Mikrotik hAPlite (N) Home/ SOHO setup for Wireless AC? (Non ubiquiti etc)

You can find cheap 802.11ac routers starting around ~$15, some are even dual-band. Tenda is cheap and they can be flashed with OpenWRT. Example search ebay "AC5 1200 router" to get a few. Some cheap routers from China come with OpenWRT from factory, some sellers on aliexpress are even mar...

Re: Cheap APs & Routers to pair w low end Mikrotik hAPlite (N) Home/ SOHO setup for Wireless AC? (Non ubiquiti etc)

I tried to pair a tplink with Mikrotik using wds couple of years ago, did not go well I did not specify, but I will - I am not going to use these via WDS but via CAT 6 Ethernet via HP ProCurve switch OR directly on Mktk Haplite, if the AC does work out well and I can disable its WiFi N and let HapL...

Re: Cheap APs & Routers to pair w low end Mikrotik hAPlite (N) Home/ SOHO setups add Wireless AC? (Non ubiquiti etc)

I was thinking something Sub 50/40/30 / 20 USD on SALE e.g. TP Link etc. (with strong AC) that acts as a Child/ Slave to the Mikrotik Hap Lite.

Thoughts?

Re: hAP lite

Just got one, I haven't tested it out yet but I like the form factor a lot. It's great for temp. use / live event / field testing or troubleshooting. No need to worry whether there's spare outlet, great for IoT. If there's a USB port it will work. I did think about mAP but this has just enough RJ45...
