Re: Accessing Netmetal 5 (for ptp connectivity) behind CCR!

Hi can you share the IP address range that your gona use and another thing you need to setup the ip address for each router. Lets say you have an IP 10.10.99.0/24 that you wil use for the routers. Now on the CCR you connect your laptop or pc with ether cable and open winbox. Click on mac-address log...

Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: Ping Problems

To answer your question. You will be able to get internet "ping to google dns " from behind your pppoe-client because your nat rule hides your your local IP's behind your Public IP(PPoE IP) your traffic is natted to your public ip which gets internet. When you ping using lan or wlan interf...

Re: RE: Re: RE: N vs AC tx power

In theory setting both the radios to 20dbm, they should still output the same wattage ? Wrong. Read the manual : tx-power ( integer [-30..30] ; Default: ) | For 802.11ac wireless interface it's total power but for 802.11a/b/g/n it's power per chain. So the is a power difference between the 2 at sam...

Re: RE: N vs AC tx power

Good day, I have a question on tx power with the new AC radios. For example. Setting a basebox 5 to 20dbm manual tx power I will get a signal strength of - 55. Replacing the basebox with a Netmetal 5 and manually setting the tx power to 20 gives me tx signal of - 69 ? Same happens if you put the ra...
