Re: IPv6 Prefix ID per IPv6 enabled interface

Sorry to bring back this older thread - I noticed a slight improvement of behaviour in more recent versions of ROS, don't know exactly it started but at least in `7.18` the address prefix seems more predictable after a reboot. It seems to me that the delegated prefix bits are now assigned in order b...

Re: v7.18 [stable] is released!

IPv6 FastTrack has made a noticeable difference on my CCR2004!
When routing 6Gbps of traffic I'm seeing ~15% reduction in total CPU usage.
That's a significant free upgrade by my book!

Re: 📣 WinBox 4 is here 📣

Not sure if this is a 7.16 or Winbox 4 Beta 8 issue, since I just got this device today and immediately updated it to 7.16. With an almost empty configuration, a minute or so after I have created an empty bridge on the device, Winbox 4.0beta8 would fail to connect to the device with a "MacConne...

Re: CCR2004-1G-12S+2XS: IPv4 routing performance less than IPv6?

Sure, attaching config below. Since yesterday I have consolidated some IPv4 Firewall rules and NAT rules (though not sure NAT rules mattered), while there is a slight gain in IPv4 throughput the gap is still very wide. Throughput on IPv4 averages ~3Gbps, while IPv6 averages at ~8Gbps. I have also ta...

CCR2004-1G-12S+2XS: IPv4 routing performance less than IPv6?

Hi all, I'm trying to troubleshoot some speed issue which led me to this weird performance differences between IPv4 and IPv6 - hoping I can get some help narrow down the bottleneck. I understand throughout for routing traffic going through CCR2004 is likely to be CPU bound, but I wasn't expecting IP...

Re: DDNS not setting IPv6 despite getting IPv6 connectivity, what did I do wrong?

Update: I have by chance gotten it to work after assigning an additional IP address from the delegated prefix to the interface with my ISP (despite already getting one through DHCPv6?). https://i.imgur.com/AwCqNYW.png Any idea why the address obtained from ISP is not enough to give RouteOS IPv6 acce...

DDNS not setting IPv6 despite getting IPv6 connectivity, what did I do wrong?

I've recently migrated my setup from RB4011 to CCR2004, most things went smoothly except I couldn't get the new DDNS to work with IPv6 anymore, it seems to think I have no IPv6 connectivity. I am able to ping Google's DNS from RouterOS: > ping address=2001:4860:4860::8844 src-address=2a01:zzzz:87bd:...

Re: mynetname.net is suspended

I raised a ticket with Mikrotik Support about this issue earlier.

Mikrotik Support asked me to reboot my router.
I hate to think the mynetname.net domain got suspended because I didn't reboot my router. /s

mynetname.net is suspended

Yo Mikrotik, Your mynetname.net domain used by IP > Cloud DDNS is suspended. Did you forget to do the domain detail validation thing? xx Domain Name: MYNETNAME.NET Registry Domain ID: 1856616582_DOMAIN_NET-VRSN Registrar WHOIS Server: whois.publicdomainregistry.com Registrar URL: www.publicdomainreg...

Re: Can not get Netinstall to Install packages or routeros.

I just had the same issue... Did you connect te router directly to your PC? If so, connect it via a switch... Windows doesn't always bring up the NIC when there is no link... This helped me on Windows 10 too. This is absolutely baffling - netinstall sees the device but did nothing when I clicked in...

Re: Very slow WiFi download speed. (MikroTik hAP ac2) [SOLVED]

I tried almost everything, nothing helped. Then I tried newest RC firmware. I saw incrase in WiFi download speed immediately. I guess that there are no stable FW with fixed WiFi on Ac^2 out there yet. But I'm glad that this problem is fixed on RC fw. I am seeing the same issue with my hAP ac^2. Wir...
