IPSec Connection Issue [Mikrotik<->FortGate]

Hi All, I'm having an issue trying to setup a IPSec VPN between a RB1100(v4.12) and a FortGate 331B (v4.0,build0342,120227). I have tried searching through the support forums, but have not found any helpful information as yet. I have included logs and configs of both devices to this post. It basical...

Mangle Rule Order

Hi Guys, Just want to double check. I'm trying to sorted out a basic QoS setup on our network but I'm unsure about my ordering in my mangle list. I have a prerouting rule doing routing_marks of certain IPs to redirect them through a different interface. [passthrough=yes] And then I obviously have th...

Re: Max clients per Sector

With NSTREME 40-50 is the MikroTik recommendation. I agree, more than that and ping times go really high.
Oh ok. Do they have a recommendation without NSTREME?

Max clients per Sector

Hi all. What is the max amount of clients you connect on any 1 sector? I was taught as a best practice to never put more than 30 clients per sector as this is considered as "overloading" the sector and the clients signal strengths and CCQs would start being affect negatively. Is there any ...

How to email when IP added to address list?

Hi All, I need a little bit of help please. We have a generic firewall rule which checks for more than 30 SMTP connections and then adds the clients IP to a src-address list. See below: 37 ;;; Detect SMTP Spammers chain=SMTP action=add-src-to-address-list protocol=tcp address-list=smtp_spammers addr...

Re: Maximum Amount Of RAM for Mikrotik / Web-Proxy

Hi All,

I know this topic is over a year old, but I would like to know if this apparent 2gig RAM cap in Mikrotik is still applicable, or if it has changed at all?

We are also going to be using the web proxy and would like to put in as much RAM as Mikrotik 3.28 can handle.

Re: QoS with IPIP Tunnels

Thanks that sorted me out.

I just setup conn and packet marks for both up and down. Then switched my Total Download queue from one of the ethernet interfaces to the gobal-out interface.

Thanks again.

QoS with IPIP Tunnels

Hi all I've run into a bit of an issue, when setting up my new QoS setup. Using the following pdf guide here, http://mum.mikrotik.com/presentations/CZ09/QoS_Megis.pdf , I've managed to setup a nice working QoS system on my test bed in the office. The issue I'm having when implementing it for real on...

Hi Guys I see there is a dead thread from 2008 where someone asked a similar question but the answer doesn't quite help me out. http://forum.mikrotik.com/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=28169 I'm having an issue with 2 RB600s on a remote farm hill location. During bad weather there seems to be some sort of ...

Coz atm i need to log in to winbox every morning and check the queues then convert each one to bytes and add it all back into radius for each user one by one. As yo...
