Re: [Feature Request] Auto-detection of APN's with LTE

https://www.tp-link.com/uk/products/details/cat-4691_TL-MR6400.html]This TP-Link router set itself up correctly with an EE SIM and worked without any user intervention. With a Vodafone SIM it gave me a choice of three. Setting up the Mikrotik was a bitch in comparison because I was used to not havi...

[Feature Request] Auto-detection of APN's with LTE

Currently the LTE interface defaults the APN (Access Point Name) to "internet" and gives no help in working out the correct ones. Mobile Phones do a good job of at least auto-detecting the available APN's to just present you with a small list of APN's. I have a cheap third party TP-Link LT...

[Feature Request] Fix OpenVPN vulnerability to SWEET32

The Mikrotik implementation of OpenVPN is vulnerable to https://sweet32.info/]SWEET32 . This should have been patched months ago and OpenVPN updated to v2.4+. In the short term, if you have access to the remote configs you can add a line to them: reneg-bytes 64000000 But this is just a mitigation an...

WAP R with R11e-LTE board bridging LTE to ether1 problem

I have a new WAP R with R11e-LTE, so effectively a WAP LTE kit. I currently have it in LTE mode (so no WiFI) and I am trying to bridge the LTE interface to the ether1 interface so my PC effectively gets the WAN IP directly. DHCP is currently enabled on ether1 and the OS is 6.41.4 I've followed the d...

Re: R11e-LTE with no LTE options in the menu [SOLVED]

Sorry for not replying earlier. I was expecting a forum notification to say a reply had been posted. I contacted the Mikrotik support e-mail address attaching the supout.rif file and they very quickly asked me to RMA the device. The reason for there being no LTE menu options is that the LTE card had...

R11e-LTE with no LTE options in the menu [SOLVED]

I have a pretty new R11e-LTE and I'm really struggling with it. I did have it set up for LTE but now there is nothing showing up in the menu systems for the interface either by Winbox or the browser. I've tried upgrading to the latest firmware and resetting to defaults and nothing shows up. As a sec...

Re: Newbe with a R11e-LTE: APN and bridge questions

Unfortunately, "/interface lte scan" does not list APN's or are you thinking of another command? Would it be possible with AT commands? Do you know of an AT command reference? In terms of NAT'ing, my friend was planning on a dual WAN router for failover and/or load balancing. With that sor...

Newbe with a R11e-LTE: APN and bridge questions

I am trying to help someone set up a R11e-LTE, primarily as an LTE modem. and we've struggled to get it on-line. One issue we had is trying to find the APN to use. In the end I reverted to putting the SIM in my phone which lists the Access Point Names. Is there any way of getting the router to scan ...
