Please look at quantity packaging for the LHG. A 5 pack would be great. A 10 pack even better, if possible... We are filling up our dumpster with the packaging from these and shipping is a little high because they ship individually to us from our supplier.

Oops, I actually meant a 32 dB dish and yes, it is a new backhaul to a fiber connection at that location. It will probably be upgraded to a licensed link eventually.

UPDATE:

I have upgraded several more 433AH that I have as spares. One board is from the same serial number batch. They all upgraded from 2.20 to 3.02 with no issues. Since I have not been able to repeat the problem, I would say this is just an isolated incident with a bad 433AH board.

Don't NAT until you get to the the 750 or use one of the load balancing examples in the wiki. I don't use Rockets, but this is easy enough to do on a routed all MT network. (policy routing)

This would be a really nice feature......or fix. Whatever, it is a very annoying problem for those of us who view queues a lot. :-) Just a workaround would be nice. I have lots of towers that never have this problem but 30% or so do. I've never been able to figure out a pattern.

You could try one of these attenuators. They are a lot smaller than 100 feet of cable. :-)

I've seen this problem too with version 2.9 but not until a cable company trying to do wireless moved in with some Motorola Canopy trash. I can see it in every area where they have put their RF abusive equipment up. Canopy can eat up huge chunks of spectrum and you won't see it on a scan from the AP...

I had a problem with FTP in the past with the same symptoms. I had somehow disabled FTP under IP --> Firewall --> Service Ports. Try disable/enable there and see what happens.

I believe it is when using any Atheros based cards as an AP. I have read that the R52 also exhibits the same symptoms. I have 3 new antennas now with SR-2 cards and have not had the problem yet...... but these antennas have less than 10 clients each.

R52 is HIGHLY reccomended by me. We no longer purchase CM9, because R52 is so much better!!

Was this dramatic improvement on a 2.4 or 5 GHz link. Are you using these on 2.4 GHz as an AP anywhere?

Is the 532 on the tower or down in the shack? If it is on the tower are you using shielded Cat5 cable? Have you tried ferrite coils on the the power or ethernet cables leaving the 532 box? Have you tried bonding all your grounds to a central point? With RF problems you just have to keep experimenting.

This card shows up as a AR5212 and works fine. Wrap boards need the latest bios for the board to come up without rebooting the wrap board. I've been a little disappointed in the output power though. With version 2.9 you can specify a minimum signal level in the connect list. I have never tried this. I guess that is what it is intended for but I could be wrong. It may also only work with MT clients.

As far as improving your -78 signal. Try a pair of th 28db solid dishes. I've tried the 26db grids and they seem more like 20db compared to the solid 28db dishes. They might be 26db if they were solid. :wink:
