Re: v6.47.9 [long-term] is released!

The PoE issue was introduced in 6.46.8, as the comments from that release prove it. Using a hEX PoE to power two Dahua SD1A203T-GN. PoE set to auto on. Firmware v6.47.9 without issue. I think these units are 2 or 3 years old. Factory firmware was 6.42.7. I also have only one of many hEX PoE routers...

Re: v6.47.9 [long-term] is released!

The PoE issue was introduced in 6.46.8, as the comments from that release prove it. Going back to 6.46.7 fixes it. Someone complained in IRC too about that. One of the reasons I was hoping for a 6.46.9 bugfix release. Just tried to install 6.46.7. Same problem... PoE out status - waiting for load. ...

Can we hope for the appearance of Dude functionality in the Mikrotik application? At least the ability to view maps like in Dude app for Windows?

Re: v6.47.9 [long-term] is released!

If cable connecting hEX PoE and camera is long, then detecton/negotiation can fail due to excessive cable resistence. In such case forcing PoE out can help but it also depends on voltage drop over cable, 802.3 af/at requires at least 37V at PD (camera). Unfortunetly not long. About 10 meters. Netme...

Which ROS devices do you expect the most?

I apologize if not the first who write about this. From myself I will say that I really look forward to: 1. RB4011 (10х1G ether ports & sfp) with USB, microsd and supports LTE6 module. 2. Microcircuit RouterBOARD on ARM platform, like in RBD23UGS-5HPacD2HnD supports 802.3af/at PoE in. Maybe the ...

*) poe - fixed automatic PoE firmware upgrade procedure;
*) poe - improved PoE-out status detection;
HEX PoE with a 48V power supply did not immediately load the connected equipment, nor does it. It takes 3 to 5 minutes to determine whether to turn on power.

Re: hEX PoE or Netmetal ac2 powering bug

As far as I understand, this is hardware problem and it's not worth waiting for the problem to be fixed in ROS7. Dear Mikrotik's, is that correct?

Re: RB960PGS PoE Out Not Powering Up Device (Short Circuit Long Cable)

I think it's hardware bug.
I have one hEX PoE which powered cameras mormally and two which powered only with PoE status "forced on'.

Re: HAP AC2 best option for home use

RB4011 for 80/20 VDSL connection? Maybe only if in the coming months it switches to fiber optics and 500-1000 Mbps connection. But I don't think it will happen in the next few years in the UK. I advised RB4011 because it have more powerful Wi-Fi transmitter and more sensitive antennas, so you could...

Re: HAP AC2 best option for home use

Standalone hAP AC2 is not the best solution. Take a look at RB4011. Or use CRS or hEX PoE + some cAP AC spaced buildings.

This means hEX PoE normally works only with the 24V adapter? So this is hardware bug?

Try to power up using 24v original power supply.

Regards.
Bad idea. I need standart 48V 802.3 PoE for cameras.

Is it software or hardware bug?

hEX PoE or Netmetal ac2 powering bug

Hi,all!
I have a problem connecting Netmetal ac2 via hEX PoE powering by PoE. hEX PoE powered by 48V adapter. Only "forced on" PoE out on the hEX PoE turns on Netmetal ac2 router.
RoS 6.47 or 6.46.6.
There is no problem connecting Netmetal ac2 via CRS328-24P.

Is this a bug or feature?

ftp, dude, etc. Using internal 128 mbytes will kill it flash in a little time and divice goes into thrash. Have same problem on RB4011 without WiFi. System stops forward client packets but I can connect via winbox to WAN-port. System runs script make supout.rif every 2-3 minutes but can not finish it. Device did not execute any commands via console but respond on command via winbox. Tools-Profile shows 1...
