Re: Kansas City MUM USA

You guys at Mikrotik are on my Christmas list. I am reserved and looking forward to not being mugged walking from hotel to hotel. It’s always nice to be able to crawl upstairs, rather than down the street after the evening mixers.

Well done.

I agree to some extent with the extra night, however, flying out at night after a long day is no fun.

The hotel is out of rooms at the block rate. Please negotiate an additional block. The room goes from $149 to $247/night. That is a bit steep and not many are going to pay this much. I also would implore you to add Friday to the block so attendees can attend the entire MUM event and check out Friday...

Tried that to begin with. No improvement. We have ordered a licensed link so this will be a thing of the past. However, on other links, it would be nice to squeeze 400+ meg on a PTP 80 MHz. Other brands we deploy will get exactly that on 80 MHz. I am of the impression no one is getting over 200 meg ...

We have found lowering the client count to 20 or less fixes the NV2 speed issue. Setting NV2 TDMA Period Size to auto and making the Cell radius as small as possible also seems to help. We are trying Cell Radius of 3-5 larger than farthest SM. We have overlaid ePMP for scalability so we are learning...

Band? N or ac? We never use AC, it is fine for backhauls but worthless in a highly congested area like ours. Dual pol? Everything is dual polarity and most are 90 degree sectors. Channel? 20? 40? 80? 20 MHz channel spacing in most all cases. That should allow for 100 megs of traffic and that is all ...

Did anyone figure out a fix for this? Had to run out and replace a CCR1009 tonight. Put a RB2011 in its place, but let face it, they were never meant to push 400+ meg. The box at the tower is just too small for a rack mount size so we are using the CCR1009-8g-1s-1s+PC. It began dropping all ports an...

You are not doing bonding are you? The bonding for all those who do not reallize gives you failover if one of the four radios dies, killing one link. All traffic will switch over to the remaining wireless link.
