I do not like load balancing... But if you do, don't change it. Post your config, please. Go to terminal and "export compact", let me see. And tell me, you do want that 3g assumes the traffic, only if 2 WAN get down, is it? i.e. Load Balancing is working, if WAN1 goes down, it keeps workin...
My indication is: 1) Did you already setup your interfaces? If so, mark PPPoE to not add default route. 2) Go to IP > Routes and add your default routes 1-ISP: dst-adress=0.0.0.0/0 gateway=1-ISP distance=1 2-ISP: dst-adress=0.0.0.0/0 gateway=2-ISP (probably the name is pppoe-out1) distance=2 This is...

I still have the will to buy the hAP AC², but I'm kinda insecure about this IPv6 "issue", it's my only trouble with the architecture. I found a thread of one year ago. https://forum.mikrotik.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=119901#p593106 Is the same subject of before about lifetime, but uses ...
Fasttrack do a bypass on firewall and queue rules. How you need to mark the connection with mangle, fasttrack will don't leave the marking occur. The more firewall rules and queues, more will be used the cpu, so you need to optimize the firewall. https://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Tips_and_Tricks_for_B...
Hi guys, I was searching something about fasttrack issues (slow connection) with dual wan, I found a lot of cases, but with no solutions. In my case, I disabled the fasttrack rule and everything is fine, but CPU usage got higher. Im supposing to use this way, but is there something to fix this scena...

I got back to my Archer C7 with LEDE, setup everything as it was on Mikrotik (RB951G-2hND) e everything works like a charm.

You have to keep in mind that for MikroTik IPv6 is the stepchild that receives very little attention. A lot of features are lacking in MikroTIk IPv6 and it may well be that this is one of them or that it has bugs, and that OpenWRT works better. At my ISP I have a "fixed" address (it can c...
Ir will take some time before a changed address is noticed. The address can be "dynamic", but really it isn't supposed to change every day or two days. When you cannot convince the ISP that this is unreasonable to do, try to disconnect your line (using schedule and script) in the middle o...

In ND config, the default "interface" is blue by the way, is that a problem? Isn't a problem, its indicate that is a default entry. I guess that OpenWRT send RA packets to change the prefix on devices when renew the prefix, what the MikroTik doesn't, the packets are sent conform the lifet...

The most problem with IPv6 on renew on devices is related to the lifetime of the prefix when use MikroTik. You can also low the ra-lifetime to 15m. I don't remember how is the OpenWRT with IPv6 lifetime config, I guess that has as default config a lower value. I just wanted it to work as it should ...
Can you post your IPv6 ND config? /ipv6 nd export verbose Probably your prefix lifetime is the default value 30 days and 7 days. Try to change the lifetime to 48h or less. /ipv6 nd prefix default set valid-lifetime=2d preferred-lifetime=2d I'mma try this, but, when I used to use OpenWRT/LEDE, IPv6 ...

The more experienced / knowledgeable can correct me here, but why are you using "DHCP Client" & "PPPoE", usually you will use one or the other? My ISP provide me VDSL connection. Put my modem in bridge mode. Set up PPPoE client into mikrotik. I just want to advertise IPv6 ov...
Hi guys, I'm trying to setup my Mikrotik the best way, and I'm satisfied with it... Unless by the fact IPv6 doesn't work properly. I already setup, and Mikrotik sees my IPv6, I can ping out from mikrotik, etc. My devices connected also gets his IPv6... Until my session PPPoE renew itself (my ISP for...

Hi guys, I have a scenario where everything is working fine, unless IPv6. Actually, it's WORKS! But, my ISP forces PPPoE to renew every 48h, when it renew, I get new IPv4, and IPv6 prefix too. When I used Openwrt/LEDE, every time PPPoE "restarts", every device conected by DHCP "renew&...
Hello guys, I wil explain my actual setup, and lastly I'll ask my request: I have two WAN: VDSL 50/5 (WAN1) and Local Provider 10/2 (WAN2). The scenario is: Local Provider has better pings (for gaming, mainly), and better response in web browsing. VDSL has higher bandwidth for downloading, and shari...
