Need to Global NAT/Masq over VPN

Site to site VPN with me having 192.168.1.0 and the other side a single IP: 192.168.200.20. So, I can make the VPN and define the Interesting traffic to go over it, problem is he also has 192.168.1.0 on same network so I'd like my traffic to appear to come from something else so he knows what to do ...

Map Export causes timeouts

So anyone else have periodic map exports (to feed a web site for static viewing) that seem to cause random instability? I have one set to export every 5 minutes and it seems like every 4th or 5th export, random devices on the network go yellow then back to green when export finished. Identified it w...

Re: 42km PtP Link Problems (RB433AH + R5H)

We are also trying to build a link with RB433AH's / SR71-15's and getting very lopsided results, both on the tower and on the bench. Transfer rates 70M x 8M. colebert, could you share your (sanitized) config?

Thanks

Re: Password has <CR> can't get in

Nope. I don't know why no one can tell us what char or ascii code gets inserted, but we had to net install. :(

Password has <CR> can't get in

I changed the password on a RB this morning by copying and pasting from Excel. Immediately after saving and closing, I tried to access the RB with a paste from the SAME copy and could not get back in. Proceeded to try Winbox, telnet, mac telnet, etc, manually typing the password and copying and past...

Re: DST-NAT Timeout

Sorry, didn't go far enough down in the config. There is srcnat translating the above local IP back to the correct (same as inbound) public IP.
Is there some debugging I can turn on or logging that might indicate why it frequently does not connect? Thanks

DST-NAT Timeout

Tracking down a mail delay issue - mail server behind MT using dst-nat. Mail from the world frequently times out and doesn't make initial connection. I can duplicate this myself by getting outside of LAN and doing simple telnet - about 30% connection timeout. When on the LAN and using telnet, no tim...

Large Map

Any performance hit with large maps with several hundred hosts and services? I created mine broken into submaps, but think it would work a lot better for 'at a glance' monitoring with everything on one screen.

Hotspot no bandwidth on RB532 v3.10 mipsle

RB532 configured as hotspot. Bandwidth on an ethernet port is as expected (>5Meg) with provided backhaul. Bandwidth on WLAN is 300 - 500k at best. Have tried toggling transparent proxy, as suggested in another thread, to no avail. Have wiped and reconfigured from scratch - started with v2.9x with sa...

PPPoE as data source

Any way to make a PPPoE connection a data source or a 'probe' so it can be plaed on a map and monitored and graphed with no relation to an IP address?

Re: making ip's go orange for unstable pings

If you change the polling interval you will get what you want...that is all there is to it. try it and call me a liar if it doesn't work. 8) OK, you're a liar :D I have found NO WAY to make an object turn orange "ON THE MAP" when it is unstable AND (Very Important AND) you are only monito...

Re: making ip's go orange for unstable pings

Seems like the original topic got lost...I have the same issue/request. If you are monitoring ONLY ping on a device it will never go Orange, only Green and Red. If it truly is unstable and you happen to open "Settings" you will see that it is Orange/Unstable, but the Map icon is still Gree...

Routing issue - virtual AP's

This is a large mfg yard with a WDS mesh with several AP's all connecting back to the primary AP mounted on the office. This is for LAN traffic. We have connected a 2nd Internet feed to the primary AP and created virtual AP's on each mount in the yard. These virtual AP's are configured as MT Hotspot...

Wow! I had to bring MTU all the way down to 1388!

The MSS mangle rule mentioned in other posts didn't work either.

Oh well, works now!

Thanks

pppoe / masquerade / surfing secure sites

Having a hard time tracking this one down... Subscribers use RB112 with wireless card to connect via pppoe. src-nat=masquerade is on for the connection. Issue is at secure web sites - initial https page displays properly, but after entering logon info, page hangs and times out . Take the same MT and...
