This one works well but doesn't calculate for you, would be a lot of foot work with it.

Re: 5.11 and WDS

I've been able to reproduce this consistently with 2 RB751U-2HnD's one as apbridge and the other as either apbridge or WDS slave, nothing else in the network. Usually only takes a few minutes for the storms to start.

Re: Extend wireless coverage with WDS

Hello Community, For others experiencing the same problem I will post here how I have solved the problem. First stept was to down grade the RELAY to 4.17. Then I have setup VAPs for each SSID that I wanted to extend the wireless coverage for. On "top" of each VAP I have created a WDS. Tha...

Re: WDS Bridge or MESH information and examples

I have tried all these configurations and none seem to give clients an IP address. I have a 493 with 7 751u's hard wired to it, no wireless card in 493, I put those 7 in a bridge and am running hotspot on the bridge interface.(I tried as switch also). there is 5 more 751u's running as wireless repea...

Default forward

I set up a hotspot and turned off default forward, I am still able to scan the network with a simple android app called network discovery and I can see every wireless device connected and scan the open ports and even connect through ssh. This is routeros 5.13. I thought the idea behind this is so us...

Re: Hotspots no static IP

I may try that, ultimately I would like to use my RB1100 as a vpn server also so I could vpn into it and have a virtual network that can reach all the deployed Mikrotik equipment.

Hotspots no static IP

We are going to deploy some mikrotik hotspots, is there a way to use the user manager for authentication when many of these hotspots do not have a static IP?

Thanks

Not sure if I'm missing something here, but that seems to only work when the users are in the local database. My users are MAC authorising through radius to a remote RB1000 runing UM.

Page redirect

I'm using hotspot with MAC auth. to an off site RB1000 with UM. What I'm trying to do is after someone gets authorized is redirect them to another url, doing it in the alogin.html page does not work with MAC auth. Any ideas?

Thanks

Where the wireless drivers changed, on the 2 test radios I updated it shows a 10db gain on RX. One went from -82 to -71 the other went -72 to -61. I hope this is a true reading cause I really like it :D

Re: Cavity filters

A little off topic, but how does trade up work, SR9 $160.00 now out of date and no longer compatible with new line of XR9 which is advertised at $130.00.?

Sounds like the same marketing Verizon does "it's better now so give us $$$ for our previous oops".......

Why is it every card produced by UBT has problems with noise, esd, and excuses for it, I've been through many SR2's all with the system grounded and they go deaf. we hear the excuse of the dervisity switch. well then fix it, cm9's perform better and do not have this problem. SR9's work fine as long ...
