Re: 802.11ac severe speed degradation with ROS above 6.45.9 (LTS)

Can you please post your configuration while running 6.47.9? (/export compact) Do you see any difference between configuration of 6.45.9 and 6.47.9 at all if you compare full /export? I'm sorry, but I really don't have that much time for digging to find root cause - I'd like to, but... no time :-( ...

Re: 802.11ac severe speed degradation with ROS above 6.45.9 (LTS)

Thanks for the response! Yes, I am fully aware of that and good comments... but even with sideband fluctuations, how otherwise to explain such massive variance in actual bandwidth? When radio link shows sync over 1gbps (screenshot taken just now), fully saturated ISP line will be 35% of it... yet wi...

802.11ac severe speed degradation with ROS above 6.45.9 (LTS)

Hi all I want to share something I finally tracked down to the source (or so I believe) yesterday evening. Thanks to Kev for bringing this performance issue to my attention. Kev noticed it on his hAP AC3 , I noticed/replicated the same on my hAP ac and started digging... I run hAP ac with 350/35 lin...

Re: OpenVPN CRL [Certificate revocation list]

Bumping up... I'll put it this way - so far Mikrotik wins with most vendors on functionality, flexibility and price but this kind of gaps makes it non-starter for really serious deployments where security is not an optional bolt-on but absolute baseline requirement. I'd like to see some implementati...

Cryptography settings in RouterOS

Hi I have a quick question regarding cryptography settings in RouterOS. When you expose for example web interface over HTTPS it uses the following set of ciphers (as tested against v6.29.1): Accepted TLSv1 256 bits AES256-SHA Accepted TLSv1 256 bits CAMELLIA256-SHA Accepted TLSv1 128 bits AES128-SHA...

Re: IPsec between RB250 and Fortigate

I had similar issue - turned out Fortigate requires that you first create an address object for the network behind RB250 and add a traffic policy that under Policies->IPv4 (on Fortigate). As soon as policy was added phase 2 connected ok.

Re: Problem with Laptops using Intel wireless adapter 3945 abg

Guys - RouterOS is OK, it's Intel driver on Windows that creates problems... I have the same problem of course and it happens to be only in Windows. Ubuntu running on the same laptop picks up my MikroTik withouth problems and works like a charm. I can't really find any 'working' windows driver... On...

Working solution

I guess you have it solved but for further reference - maybe somebody will need it :) I had the same problem but then solved it just like that... This is example for one peer only (now I have 6 peers all the same way). Mikrotik has 172.16.5.0/24 as LAN with source-nat to the world over a public IP o...
