Re: v6.45.6 [stable] is released!

951Ui-2nD user here. Installed it over 6.45.5, , which looked better stability wise, on the pppoe wan side.Installation itself went ok. I have reverted to 6.44.5 due to a strange logged issue, though. In my firewall the Output Chain ends with a drop and Log rule. After restarting the router today i ...

Re: v6.45.3 [stable] is released!

951Ui-2nD user here. My internet provider uses pppoe. I have observed that while using 6.44.5 I do not have occasional disconnects with "peer is not responding" as I have experienced with 6.45.1/2/3.So 6.44.x seem to be ok in this regard. With 6.45.3 .i may have one or 2 disconnects in 24 ...

Re: Output chain questions

It seems that with version 6.43rc56 firmware the behaviour is a little different in realation to gateway<->client relation , via Outbound chain. When rc 51 was used ,right after the router restart there would be a ICMP 3 code 0 send by the gateway to the (some) clients .WIth RC 56 the gateway would p...

Re: Output chain questions

Thanks !
It seems that the output chain should be kept under control as well , even though not necesarelly in relation with the Cloud feature .

Re: Output chain questions

Thank you for the feedback. @usdmatt , I have a rule allowing LAN devices on the Input chain as well , as i ve added a Block All rule for the Input chain at the end of the input firewall rules.By default the security of the WAN inbound is quite relaxed on the Mikrotik so measures had to be taken . A...

Re: v6.42.3 [current]

There is some issue with firewall rules or maybe they work differently now.I think it started with 42.2 version. My ICMP rules made on input and/or forward chains are ignored. They were working just fine in 42.1. I usually drop ICMP Type 8 Echo Request when i am not playing online games from WAN (B...

Re: v6.42.2 [current]

Updated my 951Ui-2nD to 6.42.2 from 6.42.1 and there were some strange issues with my firewall rules, at first some were ignored then after a restart some were applyed in such a way that i was left outside and needed to manually reset the device :) Neither winbox neither http were usable to connect ...
