Still no intelligent response from anyone at mikrotik. I guess the answer was go ask the other guy.

Re: 3Com Superstack 4400 rebooting after The Dude Autodiscov

3COM is dead and taken over by HP. I still have over 40 3COM switches and most are 4400 or 4900. The dude worked fine until an update. You can blame it on the switches which is always the easy path. Or you can take credit for the issue and see it through. This product rebooted over 30 of my switches...

Re: Ping on V3beta6

This is running on a server 2000 computer if this helps you any. The connections issue wouldn't be a problem on this machine as it allows unlimited. However there are two servers running this on an XP box without issues. These computers have less then 10 connections per site.

Re: Ping on V3beta6

My dude server has been running now for 7 days without any ping issue since changing it to 2000 ms. Don't know what to tell you but mine is working without hiccup now.

I then changed the retry interval to 2000 ms and this seemed to work even better. It has been running now for about 23 hrs without...

Re: Ping on V3beta6

When it stops responding, what exactly happens? Does The Dude stop responding to all connections, some connections, random in and out connections? Mine seems to work fine however I had to set each location up and then I created submaps for each of these locations discovering them from their agents. ...

Ping on V3beta6

I think I have a fix to the ping problem in V3beta6!!! Go to your probes by going to settings, discover, and then services. Click on the three little dots to edit the services. Go to ping and change type from random to ICMP and change TTL to 128. Hope this helps. I'm on a network that has 100+ compu...
