Re: v6.48 [stable] is released!

After upgrading on RB3011 ports in switch group 1 (ether1-5) started flapping every 5 minutes. Rolled back on 6.47.8 and all seems ok. So 3011 users, install with care! ;) My RB3011 has flapping ports on both switch groups (1-5) and (6-10), going to roll back now... if I can work out how!! IF YOU H...

Re: Bonding over PPP

Hi Sindy thanks for the reply. I think one issue that I'm having is that when I try to send the router output traffic over both links by alternating packets, I'm disrupting the two individual PPP sessions which are WAN/link specific. I guess what i need to do is find a way of sending all router (out...

Bonding over PPP

Hello, I am currently bonding two FTTC PPPOE circuits using 2 x WAN IP's (supplied over PPPOE) which both route the same /29 between my ISP and my routerboard. To achieve the bonding upstream (outbound from routerboard to ISP) I am using a mangle rule (eg 1of2, 2of2 Nth) to alternate packets between...

Re: Audience features [SOLVED]

Hi so on my Audience I wish to use wlan3 for the lower 5Ghz frequencies, but selection field (I use winbox) currently only allows 5500 - 5825 Mhz as options (in 20Mhz width) how do I change this to allow 5180Mhz (Channel 36) and above, and therefore the full 5Ghz range on this wlan3 radio? I'm not u...

Re: Audience with PWRline Pro

The PWRline Pro uses a very small selector switch on the side to turn on 24v passive POE. I won’t be plugging it in to port 2 on the Audience just yet, but if I sell the Audience device and PWRline pro to an end user, you can bet they will at some point in the future... sooner or later.

Audience with PWRline Pro

Hi all, So am testing the new Audience product. I'm powering it with the POE from a PWRline Pro. If the Ethernet cable linking the two devices was accidentally plugged into port 2 on the Audience instead of port 1, would the Audience be damaged, or is is it designed to cope with this scenario? Many ...

Re: Server access from within LAN but using WAN IP address

Look into Hairpin NAT The Hairpin NAT was the answer. I've added this NAT rule: chain=srcnat action=masquerade protocol=tcp src-address=192.168.90.0/24 dst-address=192.168.90.198 out-interface=ether6_lan_90 dst-port=8443 log=no log-prefix="" and now the server replies are getting back to ...

Server access from within LAN but using WAN IP address

Hi all, I deploy Mikrotik routers in SOHO environments and a problem I come across frequently, which I have been meaning to find a solution for some time, is where a customer has a Smartphone App to access an internal service (server PC) on their network. The senario is usually this: 1 x fixed publi...
