Re: OpenVPN cannot ping Mikrotik

Thanks very much sindy. I have tried the following: I removed the manually added ip addr and ip route then: int ovpn-server server set auth=sha1 plus the equivalent on the linux client side, auth sha1 And on the Mikrotik (server): ppp secret add local-address=10.20.0.166 remote-address=10.20.0.165 d...

OpenVPN cannot ping Mikrotik

Hi, I have configured OpenVPN server on a Netmetal 5 firmware 6.48 and OpenVPN client on Ubuntu. This is point-to-point, single client. I don't want user/password authentication but I do need both client and server certificates authenticated and that is working. The Linux client authenticates with t...

Unwanted links to Network

Hi, I'm just trying to set up The Dude for our 5 or 6 network segments and what I want to see are device to device links. I find I am unable to prevent it from adding a "network" cloud, for example, after letting it discover the devices in my home network 10.1.0.0/24 and setting up all of ...

Cannot reach Dude CHR in headless VirtualBox

This is part of a saga about managing RouterOS updates, which is a sad story - anyway attempt no 4 is to set up the Dude for that purpose and others. I downloaded chr-6.40.8.vdi and set up a guest in Virtualbox using the command line - this is in a headless, Linux server host OS. The guest starts fi...
