Re: RouterOS v3.17, v4.0beta1, The Dude v3 released

If this is a bandwidth issue I know there has to be other Mikrotik users out there willing to seed. Maybe a pre-release to a few select customers that are willing to seed these?

Time Elapsed: 2:01 hours. Progress 98.4%

It's been stuck there for 1 hour and 45 minutes.

Re: Record TX power on RB !!!!

Wow, that's one hot card, doing the math that would be putting out more power than the sun.

Sun = 4 * 10^26
Wireless = 10^58982

I'd give you actual numbers but excel won't calculate that second one....

Re: Next gen wireless card poll

As thick as SMA would have to be I think it is too big for a mini-pci card. u.fl is much smaller, perhaps too small for someone with fat fingers, I'm always worried about bending something when installing a u.fl pigtail. MMCX to me is a great solution for a mini-pci card, it's a well fitting connect...

Re: WinBox and "show columns" feature

I would delete the winbox.exe and redownload it. I have had no problems accessing any version of RouterOS with any version of winbox.

Strange symbols are usually caused by your baud rate not being set correctly.

Re: Exact steps to block rogue DHCP servers

I would figure out what customer is broadcasting a DHCP server on your network, have the customer fix it and then be done with it. As for setting up something to keep this from happening in the future, you would probably want to setup some filtering either in your ip firewall filter or bridge filter...

Re: Dial-up from MT router?

You can use dial-up from a Mikrotik router, for configuration check this post on the wiki. http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/How_to_connect_your_office_network_with_Dial-up_Modem/Connectivity You could adapt that with a netwatch script to enable the ppp connection if your gateway/internet connection goe...

Re: Connection Tracking

Anytime changes are made there's a possibility of bug/problem arising. Let them know of the bug and I'm sure they'll get it fixed. Look at previous bugs, someone finds it, reports it, usually in the next version it's taken care of.

Re: Wireless Linktest

We would love to see this option as well. We use these same tools in another vendors radio as well. Normis, the problem with CCQ though is that if you don't have much data crossing the link then it will give you an inaccurate value. Sure we could setup and use the bandwidth test but we would have to...
