Dude hangs with high memory consumption :(

Hi I'm currently running Dude 4.0beta3. I have noticed this issue several times since I started using Dude, so it has happened with several Dude releases and with two or three different PCs, allways with Windows XP. Symptoms are that Dude stops making graphs. Services.msc -> Net Stop "The Dude ...

Re: SOLVED Dude not refreshing several web graphs

This behavior happened because I was using an automated HTTP client but it didn't log out. Please have a look to this thread for more information. Regards

Re: Exporting Dude graphs with cURL

Hi

I have solved the issue of the second post by adding a logout in the script.
Now I get the graphs again each 5 min without refresh problems.

Hello More about this This happens with the graphs that I automatically export with my scripts and with cURL (see this post) . I have changed the rate to export the graphics. I was reading the graphs each 5 minutes. I export the 24h graphs. Now I have changed to read the graphs each hour. It seems t...

Exporting Dude's HTTP graphs and charts with cURL

Hi I got an automatic export of any dude graph with cURL. The way I have got to do it is running a script each five minutes, as a Windows scheduled task. The windows script is like this @echo off "c:\Program files\curl\curl" -s -d process=login -d page=start -d user=JohnSmith -d password=P...

TCP Connections and TCP retransmissions

Hi, two more. They need snmp. The TCP retransmissions measures the number of TCP segments that the queried computer has needed to retransmit due to lost frames. This may be due to line congestion or LAN congestion, or non-responding computers. A flat zero line says that no frame is lost. Note that s...

Re: When should I restart?

The service restart just takes a couple of seconds and I've never seen anything happen because of my daily (at night) service restart. I have. I have upgraded to release 3.0 beta 8, and now I'm testing if it stops polling, so I'm not restarting the service. When I was in 3.0 beta 7 I found that the...

flavours for graphing traffic

Hi, To make traffic graphs the snmp programs gets the value of Octets wich has been counted in an interface after and before a poll time. The traffic in bits per second is (traffic after the interval) - (traffic before the interval) ------------------------------------------------------- * 8 (time a...

About 10Gb interfaces

Hi, The 10GbEth graphs may be very buggy. The reason is that the MIB used to calculate the traffic through an interface is the standard interface MIB, wich measures IfInOctect and IfOutOctet with 32 bits. With 10Gbps interfaces and poll time of 60 seconds you can easily overflow the counter. This ha...

Re: HTTP Probe problem.

Hi, You may define two new probes: The easy one: Name: TCP-00080 Type: TCP Port: 80 Connect Only CHECKED First Receive, Then Send UNCHECKED Another more ellaborated, you should tailor it to your needs: ame: CustomHTTP Type: TCP Port: 80 Connect only: Unchecked First receive, then send:Unchecked Send...

Hi all As you may see in the probe thread , i have created a probe to measure reachability. I have created a function: Name: packet_loss_test Desc: number of replied pings from 10 ping requests (0-10) Code: if( array_element(ping(device_property("FirstAddress")) , 0)<0 , 0 , 1 ) + if( arra...

Dude 3 beta 6 changes the snmp interface of a link

Hi, This is only to report one of the failures I have detected in Dude 3 beta 6. I have created a link, configured it as snmp, and associated it with a Cisco router, selecting one interface. After some days, dude changes the associated interface. It happened to me twice. 1st the "router" w...

Reachability

First of all, I like very much this tool. I managed to plot a reachability graph. 100% reachability=no packet loss. "reachability (%)" = 100 - "packet loss (%)" 1st I have created a function: Name: packet_loss_test Desc: number of replied pings from 10 ping requests (0-10) Code: ...
