Re: hAP ax2 CapsMode/WiFi issue

Thanks for the replies. Going throug the docs, testing is pending.

Since WiFiWave2 and CapsMan CAPS can be managed seperately by the same device, will WiFi clients have roaming? (auto channels)

Re: Help with WireGuard Standard Procedure for Lan Access

Hi Anav, Thanks for reply. I was able to get it all going and all is good now, however, interestingly access to local lan started to break. Research revealed, limiting the tunned traffic by AllowedIPs was set in the server as well as in client, it should be only setup in the client/peer. Link for th...

Re: Help with WireGuard Standard Procedure for Lan Access

Thank you Larsa, Great Links, many common issues are explained in both of them. Maybe I will create a sort of checklist for WireGuard setup that will provide an easy guide for local lan access to a starter. I was able to get access to local devices by changing AllowedIPs, remove 0.0.0.0/0 and add th...

Help with WireGuard Standard Procedure for Lan Access

Hi, WireGuard works and is easy enough to setup upto the connection point; however, giving a peer access to NAS data or a shared drive mapping is not streight forward. Please help me to figure out a standard procedure for this purpose. Issue: Cannot access main lan device for the purpose of mapping ...

Thank you both again for reply.
I will have to test run changing bridge's MAC, as per caution by Tangent, DHCP reservation can get messed up.

Re: Port 2 deletion in year 2021

Thank You MKX for clarifying.

Thank you Tangent for important caution.

Combining both replies above, is it best to change MAC of port 2 rather? Assuming Bridge accepts a MAC, that is unique.

Re: Capsman Guest Wifi Isolation Leak

This is not leakage, if both the device can reach the google cloud, both can interact, you like this or not. For Google they are connected to same Public IP and same Router... I see what you mean, but Google home cannot control smart devices if not connected to the same Lan. example: when phone is ...

Re: Capsman Guest Wifi Isolation Leak

The problem is not the data, google app see the same public IP, the same router and act accordingly... I am not sure what you are saying in technical terms. Are you saying that google data is/should be able to pass through with exception. When I secure a device/Lan/WiFi, I need to be able to say th...

Re: DNS issue

Aplogies for the Delay.

DNS works in most edge systems and couple systems has this issue. However, due to my plate being full, I will put if off for now.

I am sure, one day, in a critical scenario, this will bite me in the butt.
