Re: Changing hAP lite from Bridge mode to Router mode [SOLVED]

Thanks for your explanations! Everything seems to be working fine so far, I don't notice the Double NAT when trying to ping Google and my Speedtests are as quick as they were before. Could you please provide a bit more information on what problems I might face by using Double NAT? Could it negativel...

Re: Changing hAP lite from Bridge mode to Router mode [SOLVED]

So my Winbox Setup currently looks like this: https://imgur.com/a/SGZGX69 Assuming ether1 is the WAN port, I just have to flip the switch in Quick Set to "Router" mode - apply this change and then remove ether1 from bridge1, right? Changing to Router mode in QuickSet looks like this: https...

Re: Changing hAP lite from Bridge mode to Router mode [SOLVED]

That sounds a lot more complicated than I thought it would be. What I don't get is how changing this setting would reduce the link speed between the RBLHG-5nD and my hAP lite. There is an Ethernet cable with an POE injector running from my hAP lite to that RBLHG-5nD, so how would changing a WiFi set...

Changing hAP lite from Bridge mode to Router mode [SOLVED]

Hello guys I do have a MikroTik hAP lite Router at home which was provided to me by my ISP. My Internet connection is a bit unconventional - it's using the MikroTik RBLHG-5nD to provide Internet via antenna. The problem is: This RBLHG-5nD is managed by my ISP - I have no access whatsoever to it, so ...

Sonos device not properly working

Hey guys, I've just finished changing my network setup and now my Sonos device isn't able to connect to TuneIn (Spotify works somehow). Another problem is that it can't install updates (Error-Code 1101). So I've looked up the error and found the following post: https://de.community.sonos.com/install...

Disconnecting users based on time

Dear MikroTik community, I need a solution to kick certain MAC addresses out of my WiFi network from time A (let's say 22:00) to time B (6:00). I cannot stop forwarding their packets using IP filter rules as my AP (hAP lite) is in bridged mode (was set to bridged mode by my ISP, because I have a dir...

Banning client from AP-Bridge

Hey guys! My setup is the following: Router to the internet is at my ISP's local seat. I am connected to that router via radio link and I have a MikroTik hAP lite at home set up as a AP Bridge. All my clients are (obviously) connected to that bridge which is hosting my wifi at home. And now I wanna ...

Re: Redirect traffic from specific device to another local ip

And @Chaos your solution is also not working. As I said in the other posts: Can I do it on my Router/Bridge at home or do I have to ask my provider to do this at their router which is the gateway of our devices?

Re: Redirect traffic from specific device to another local ip

It's not working when doing on my router so I guess I have to ask my Provider??
Not working means that I can access any website although this NAT Rule is enabled.

Edit: This post is related on post #2

Should I do that on my Router/Bridge or do I have to ask the provider to do this on their router?

Redirect traffic from specific device to another local ip

Hello MikroTik community! I want to redirect all the tcp traffic from a Nintendo Switch to my RaspberryPi. Would be nice if this could somehow be combined with the "Kid control" feature to do this from e.g. 22:00(10pm) - 7:00(7am) on the next day. I've got the following setup at home: Mikr...

Can I enable UPnP on my local bridged ap [SOLVED]

Hey guys! I've got a pretty strange setup at home. We use a radio link system which is coming from our provider's domicile. They have some kind of Mikrotik to send the internet to us (This is called "gateway.home" and has the IP 192.168.1.1). This one serves as Gateway for our bridged AP M...

Re: Port Forwarding for private VPN tunnel [SOLVED]

So thank you for your simple but (in my opinion) very useful answer. So setting my router in routing mode won't make great changes at all for me and my ISP will have to do such things for me is what I got from your answer. But as I said before: I don't think at all, that my ISP is capable of doing t...

Re: Port Forwarding for private VPN tunnel [SOLVED]

So that's pretty strange... In IP->Addresses there's only 192.168.1.253 with Network 192.168.1.0 in interface bridge1. So that means that I'll have to ask my provider if he could forward some ports for me? I just don't know, why Winbox finds 192.168.1.1 and the description of it says "MyLastnam...

Yeah, my Winbox finds one 192.168.1.1 and the Router where I could log in to.

Port Forwarding for private VPN tunnel [SOLVED]

Hey guys! I've just got a new Router(Mikrotik hAP lite, RouterOS v3.41) and an dude from my local internet provider configured it for me. I've the following config: Bridge1 and Gateway on 192.168.1.1, Router-IP: 192.168.1.253 and on the router four ethernet cables. I am using radio link from an ant...
