Re: v7.9.2 [stable] is released!

Upgrade 4011 from 7.9 did not go well. The router got stuck at firmware boot prompt, and I had to connect via serial to get it boot. SFP GPON was not recognized after the router booted. Firmware upgrade and multiple reboots did not help. Had to downgrade back to 7.9 and physically powercycle the ro...

Re: FTTH PPPoE Client - Not Reconnecting after Reboot [SOLVED]

I have very similar setup with Bell Canada (except SFP GPON from Huawei is plugging into 4011) and everything works on RouterOS v6.48.1. I did see PPPoE connection problem you describe when I tried upgrading to RouterOS v6.48.3 and had to revert back to v6.48.1.

Re: Serial connection problem with RB1100AHX4

I had to get console cable with something called "RS232 Level Shifter" in order to connect my 4011. Cables withouts it resulted in the same behaviour you describe, i.e. no output at all or garbage. FWIW, here is the one I got https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B07D54BQ92.

RB4011iGS+RM and Huawei MA5671A SFP ONT

Is there a way to make RB4011iGS+RM recognize and use Huawei MA5671A SFP ONT provided by my ISP? Both RouterOS 6.43.4 and v6.44beta20 can't establish link and eeprom dump looks funny too: [admin@MikroTik] /interface ethernet> monitor sfp-sfpplus1 once name: sfp-sfpplus1 status: no-link auto-negotiat...
