Re: Winbox Quick Set strange Local network IP

Fact is that I didn't used Quick Set at all after configuring the router through IP-, Interfaces- and all other menus.
I have to mention that I have not used CLI, just winbox menus.

Re: DHCP server problem

I had to pull out this Cap and make a hardware reset, since it wasn't showing up with its mac in winbox, no ssid broadcasting (like it should). It is very unlikely that someone would have been able to make a reset. All colleagues are nice and the device was fixed in a highly unaccesibile location. T...

Re: DHCP server problem

Apparently there is a faulty CAP. Since I do not have direct access at this location I have just noticed (via winbox) that one of the CAP's has no IP in the lease list of RB2011. It may have lost its configuration due to ac-electric power failure. Starting a winbox via a local computer have shown th...

Re: DHCP server problem

Thanks, Mkx.

I have changed authoritative to YES, as you suggested.

There is no other dhcp server on this network. We have just one router - the RB2011.
From where does this zombie 88 dhcp might come I have no idea.
Could it be something related to CAP's?

DHCP server problem

Hi all, I am using a RB2011 routerboard with dhcp server range configured as 192.168.1.10-192.168.1.254 I have attached here some winbox print screens that hope will help. Unfortunately some LAN clients (windows 10 desktops) acquire their IP from the old default range 192.168.88.10/254 It all starte...

Re: How Does the CRS328-24P-4S+RM Perform as a Router?

My question was in fact if CRS125-24G-S-RM is ok to be used as a switch, or if some other alternatives are better, i.e. HP, Ubiquity?

Re: How Does the CRS328-24P-4S+RM Perform as a Router?

As a follow-up of what MR99 said about using the CRS as a router AND switch, please confirm that the best option is using the CRS125-24G-S-RM as a pure switch, after my old RB2011 router. Is it ok to also use some of the switching capabilities of RB 2011, by directly wiring some devices to the free ...

Re: CAPsman with 2GHz and 5GHz networks [SOLVED]

Thank you for the answer!
But how to deal with two different SSID's in CAPs Configuration?
Define a new config? How?

CAPsman with 2GHz and 5GHz networks [SOLVED]

Hi all, Newbie here, using RB2011UiAS-2HnD with two CAP ac AP's. I would like to let clients connect automatically to 2 or 5GHz networks but it looks like my 5GHz network does not have a name. Should I use the same SSID name as for 2 GHz network has, in my case `netis`? Or is it mandatory to use a d...

Re: Using MikroTik hAP as simple switch plus wireless AP

If you start with some config already applied, it is bit more challenging because there will be a lot of setting which needs to be removed/changed. Given the config you posted I would suggest following: (keep in mind that I still assume you want to have switch+wifi. If your goal is different, let u...

Re: How to go back to dynamic IP in DHCP server [SOLVED]

Thanks, Wise.

My question was more like academic, as you're right, no need for dynamic lease in normal environments.
Strange that the 'Make static' option does not have the 'Get back to dynamic' option too.

Have fun.

I would rather like to have a simple menu type choice - 'Make dynamic'.

How to go back to dynamic IP in DHCP server [SOLVED]

Hi all, Newbie here... using a hEx3 routerboard which works great in my office. Just figured out how to set a fixed IP for some devices in IP-DHCPserver, by right clicking on that devices entry and set 'Make static'. But how on earth can I go back to dynamically allocated IP in the same Winbox menu?...
