Re: running old and (wifi) capsman on the same device

i’ve also bumped into this and find the docs confusing. please improve them to be more explicit. I wasn’t aware that you can’t have local cap on capsman with wifi.thats unfortunate as I already do that. implies I now need 2 capsman to manage the caps. I run only one new hap ax2 and can’t get layer3 ...

Re: v7.13 [stable] is released!

I'd tend to agree about running any new "stable" version: If this is for production usage don't try it where you care about failure scenarios. I work in a large database environment where generally people are very conservative, but I have a setup where I often do test new versions and run ...

Re: v7.13 [stable] is released!

I have had a mixed reaction to 7.13. Good: - several CRS125-24G-1S-2HnD upgraded to 7.13 without incident. I'm not confident on doing this on the one that runs capsman yet. - map mini upgraded fine to 7.13 which was nice considering how small it is. - RB5009UG+S+ seemed to upgrade fine to 7.13 - Hex...

Re: v7.1.1 OspfNeighbor received wrong LS Ack

7.9.1 gave me a lot of issues with this lsack issue. I've seen 7.9.2 released and the problem seems to have gone away. Was only affecting 1 device a RB951G-2HnD but made it unusable. Release notes don't mention anything related so maybe this was just luck

Re: Torch for IPv6 not working in v7.1

Has this been resolved yet?
I also don't see any ipv6 traffic on 7.1.3

Re: 7.1: 951G-2HnD stuck in 'calculating download size...' [SOLVED]

This upgrade to v7.1 caused problems: # MMM/DD/YYYY HH:MM:SS by RouterOS 7.1 # software id = YIIS-GV3Q # # model = RBD52G-5HacD2HnD I have several routers connected (at home) using ospf. This box connects to the Internet. After the upgrade internet connectivity "failed". The reason was the...

Re: 7.1: 951G-2HnD stuck in 'calculating download size...' [SOLVED]

Same also for the CRS125-24G-1S-2HnD . So clearly this method works but is far from ideal. I also notice that webfig shows: RouterOS v7.1 (testing) . "testing"? The fact that routeros 7.1 has been announced seems to imply this should not be referenced as a "testing" version. Is t...

Thanks I'll try that when I get a chance. Would be good to fix this sort of thing. Is there an official place to file bugs?

7.1: 951G-2HnD stuck in 'calculating download size...' [SOLVED]

I see that 7.1 is out and have managed to upgrade a cap ac2 without apparent issues. I just tried to do the same with a 951G-2HnD after first upgrading to 6.49.2 which seemed to work fine. When I choose the upgrade channel I see the 7.1 upgrade and download and install gets stuck calculating downloa...

Re: Force reboot

I do agree with the original poster that having a confirmation=yes or require_confirmation=no would be useful. Clearly workarounds have been offered but they do not solve the underlying problem or question. Also most unix / Linux systems allow this and if you are managing the router via ssh (do peop...

Re: CAPsMAN and AP frequencies

While I'm following up quite a bit after the original post I have seen several people posting asking how to do this and what I would like to see (as I have the same problem) is to see the configuration. Basically showing the configuration from the ssh command line adjusted to not show any site-confi...

Re: /interface ethernet speed = 100Mbps???

https://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:Interface/Ethernet says: "Sets the data transmission speed of an interface. By default, this value is the maximal data rate supported by the interface" That does not seem to be the case at least for the 2 routers I am using which have a default speed o...
