Re: Dual dynamic ISP WAN, dual LAN setup

This is an important topic and one that is not properly documented or easy to do. In my estimation the router OS should already be designed to deal with dynamic ISPs and not force us knowledge peons to attempt to write scripts. In other words, I should be able to check a box that says dynamic IP (Y...

Re: Dual dynamic ISP WAN, dual LAN setup

Yes for all questions ! Perfect Thank you so much for taking your time to create and post a code for all necessary configuration and settings. Really appreciate that. I'll find (obtain) a spare device to check and test configuration as I'm not really wanting to put the network connectivity at risk ...

Re: Dual dynamic ISP WAN, dual LAN setup

To be honest, I was just saying that if you find some nice dual-WAN config you like, and it's made with static addresses, it's not a deal breaker, because you can use lease scripts to change config dynamically. Otherwise I don't enjoy multi-WAN configs very much and I tend to stay away. I also don'...

Re: Dual dynamic ISP WAN, dual LAN setup

Dear Sob, thank you for your replay. I read the kindly provided information, however it is still not completely clear for me. should i perform the scrip twice for the two WAN interfaces? /ip dhcp-client add add-default-route=no dhcp-options=hostname,clientid disabled=no interface=ether2 script="...

Dual dynamic ISP WAN, dual LAN setup

Dear experts, I'm asking if someone could give clear walk-through for the following scenario: Currently I had one dynamically assigned WAN with two different LAN networks 192.168.0.0/24 and 10.0.0.0/24. first ISP is connected to ether-1, ether 2-5 are on bridge for LAN1, 6-10 are on a second bridge ...

Re: RB4011 slow WiFi

Some update. After reading about past issues with hAP AC2 I decided to test with latest beta as suggested. Downloaded and installed 6.44beta40 on 2.4GHz there was no change in performance - around 40/45Mbps However there is slight improvement on 5GHz - 200/220 Mbps, but still very unstable, with lot...

Re: RB4011 slow WiFi

Some Notebooks (HP with Intel AC Wireless) only connecting at 54MBit.... nothing new for Mikrotik users... Welcome to Mikrotik Driver specials for ARM.... It's quite ironic that the top banner for the forum is for 4011 and advertised 1733Mbps data rate... One would guess and hope to be able easily ...

Re: RB4011 slow WiFi

RB4011 ia based on ARM architecture. The same issue is persisted on many ARM based devices like hAP AC2.. Will improve WiFi transfer speeds, but will take time to fine tune firmware. well hAP AC2 is already an year old and supposedly with solved issues. I was hoping that lessons are learned and the...

RB4011 slow WiFi

Hello, Just wondering if anyone experienced similar /slow WiFi speeds on RB4011iGS+5HacQ2HnD? The device is brand new, updated to the latest stable 6.43.7, using default configuration. The situation is that on my 1gbit line I can reach 760/700 Mbits down/up via LAN interface. However on 2.4GHz I can...
