Planned support for ZTE MF626 HSDPA USB Modem

Are there any plans for support for the ZTE MF626 HSDPA USB Modem. The device is badged by Telstra in Australia and is in common usage as a general purpose USB modem. Reading between the lines it appears similar to the other existing MF62x devices. This would be a readily available and good low cost...

Thanks for that Normis,

The price point of the RB433UAH & a low cost USB 3G unit will be devastatingly effective!!!

Is it possible to use a mini-pci USB card on Rb hardware to gain access to 3G modems?

After speaking to a few 3G card disti's the consensus is that mini-pci is dead in new designs and they are moving to support mini-pci-e instead.

Re: Feature Request : TFTP server

I would also like to throw in support for a basic TFTP server... We operate a couple of Terayon CMTS's and have to have a seperate DHCP server / TFTP server to support the cable modem file distribution. I would LOVE the idea of using my existing Mikrotik router to be able to handle these requests. ...

Re: Tee single incoming UDP data stream to multiple IP targets

It was more a case of trying to specifically find a way of using the RB333. I couldn't see an obvious way of doing it but again looked to see if one of the guru's knew of a non-obvious misappropriation of other functionality which may have achieved the required functionality. A bit of a baling twine...

Tee single incoming UDP data stream to multiple IP targets

Tried asking this earlier with no joy. Thought I might find some new faces and ideas... Scenario: Embedded devices pumping out unidirectional syslog packets via UDP to server. Devices lack time and bandwidth to send duplicate packets to multiple targets. Client's windows server hosting syslog daemon...

Re: UDP Data Tee using Port forwarding

The syslog packets are from embedded boxes. They generate a lot of Syslog data and so I am not able to duplicate the packets at the source as it will occupy too much CPU time. At worst case I was looking at a script on the ROSbox which looks for a dead server & then redirects accordingly. It wou...

Is it appropriate, <<or possible>>, to Tee unidirectional Syslog UDP packets to two recipient servers by sending the packets to an RB133 as the primary address & then forwarding the packets to two destinations?

Re: Feature Request : TFTP server

TFTP should be able to work outside the layer2 lan. We have a central TFTP server we use to provide firmware files to switches and configuration to and from ciscos on various parts of our routed network. The particular client implementation on the majority of devices doesn't route. If your applicat...

Re: Feature Request : TFTP server

The need is strictly TFTP as there are many other boxes from other Industrial suppliers that we have no firmware access to. The lowest common denominator & standard protocol for these widgets for firmware updates is TFTP. On our widgets the whole boot loader & comms system has to fit into 4K...

I just ran Dude 2.2 on a network with a single address space xx.xx.xx.0...255. Within this space there are two segments joined by PPP courtesy of two RB133C's running ROS3b9. The resultant map shows all nodes connected to the xx.xx.xx.0 address space but ignores the presence of the PPP link. As ther...

Re: RB133 Serial Port Baud rate - history repeats?

This seemed like a trivial question and yet it is never answered...

Any clues?

It would appear that the baud rate setting is locked at 115K by RouterOS, strange given that the start-up rate at boot is able to be changed.

Is the assumption correct? if so is there a reason for this?
