Feature Request: Add Connection_Routing_Mark

ROS at this time only supports 1 connection mark that lasts the life of the session. This prevents the writing of efficient mangle code to handle a combination of QoS marking and multiple simultaneous WAN ingress/egress pathways. Support of this currently requires creation of an N x M size connectio...

Re: Problem with DHCP over BCP bridging

As of 6.38.1 it does not work.... And I cannot remove the L2TP tunnel endpoint addresses, they get assigned regardless of profile/username settings.

I'm using EoIP, but I *really* need for native BCP bridging to carry the DHCP.

Differentiating Radius authentication usernames on service

I would like to implement Radius authentication for multiple services on the same RouterOS device. In the past some devices client provided an automated prefix for the username based upon the type of service making the request (ppp-user, pptp-user, l2tp-user, login-user). I don't see any mechanism i...

Re: MLPPP Reassembly Algorithm Issue

Using an EoIP tunnel as a carrier for one of the PPP type tunnels works great, but only so long as an EoIP tunnel is viable... This means that it can't be used for dynamic endpoints. We really need to have Mikrotik address this issue.

Re: MLPPP Reassembly Algorithm Issue

Originally I was using OpenVPN and L2TP with MRRU set to 1600 bytes (that sets the tunnel to use MLPPP automatically). The two tunnel endpoints were the public IP addresses of the two Mikrotik boxes. The fix is to set up an EoIP tunnel between the two public IP addresses with an MTU of 1700 on each ...

Re: MLPPP Reassembly Algorithm Issue

Ok, I implemented a workaround that functions. Since EoIP handles this properly, I set up a 1700 byte MTU EoIP tunnel between the two physical endpoints, then I set up an L2TP tunnel *across the EoIP tunnel* with MTU and MRU set to 1500 bytes. This setup is testing out just fine. If you do this the ...

MLPPP Reassembly Algorithm Issue

I have finally tracked down the source of an annoying packet loss issue that plagues my VPN links between Bangkok and London and between Bangkok and Singapore. The L2TP/PPTP/OpenVPN (all show same issue) tunnels are set up to service these VPNs using MTU sizes of 1460 and an MRRU value of 1600 so th...

OSPF / VRF Connected/Static route redistribution

I have run into an odd situation. I have a primary VPN server (RB1100) that is connected using L2TP to one of several VPN clients. The L2TP tunnel interface is part of an 'inside' VRF. I cannot get redistribution of connected or static routes to function. the only way a connected route shows up is i...

This is not a 1:1 mapping, although I do have some of those in a different plac.

Re: RB1000 Reboot Issues

In my case it turned out to be the memory SIMs. I switched back to the original 512M SIMs shipped with the unit and the problem went away. I really need 2Gb for large multiple feed BGP tables...

Can anyone from MT publish the required specs for memory and/or suggested memory modules?

As I test more, it appears that a redistribute connected in BPG is (on all non-local nodes) showing up in the VPN4 table without a netmask (which I assume is a /32 convention). The local VPN4 table is showing it correctly with a /30 netmask.
