And when will the CCR2004 finally work?
Our tickets regarding this box are open for months now without a working solution - the box simply crashes on load.
It seems we are using quite the same network layout. It would be nice to share more experiences. We have not been able to use L2TP (IPSec or not) stable for longer than about 2 weeks uptime. We are using CCR1036 all over. Contact me if you feel alike.
L2TP is generally no solution for anything on mikrotik as it is not stable. See my corresponding question from 15th Feb. L2TP on IPSec is very slow with single TCP streams. And I have not found any solution for both. Has anyone? This is not dependant on high latency. L2TP has a stability problem per...
Hello all, we have several CCR1036 on several locations and try (for months now) to set up really stable L2TP connections between them. Unfortunately we have the following experiences up to now: Starting with RouterOS 6.40 upwards (we did not try earlier versions) all L2TPs based on CCR1036 crash ev...
Forgive my ignorance, to my knowledge the backup/restore procedure does not restore the old mac addresses but in fact leaves you with completely broken network setup, as all the ip addresses once bound to a device point to now "unknown device" exactly because the MACs of the new box are no...
You mean you would export a script from the to-be-backuped router, then edit it _manually_ to enter all the MAC addresses on the box? Have fun doing that for some hundred boxes. And in the end this leaves you with a script that does neither restore certificates nor user/passwords. You call that a ba...
Hm, all the answers do not look like a real solution to the problem. Surely the best is by script, as it is the only human-readable option. Nevertheless certificates and users/passwords are completely missing. For me the users/passwords are not a big deal, but certificates are. So something simple a...
Hello all, for years I am looking for a method to backup a running configuration. Of course one might think to simply use (winbox) File -> Backup. But the problem is, you cannot restore this backup on _another_ hardware of same type. Basically all devices with MAC adresses fail to configure correctl...
