well the nice thing about MT and routerboards is you never (almost) have to do any maintenence on them ... The advantages of mounting the radios and antennas outdoors is the elimination of coax and amps ... Also I have nevered bothered with lightning protection as the ABS enclosures are non conducti...

I have several installations with bad SCADA interference and can only use channel 11 ... running a local omni and two ptop flat pannels all on the same channel but with different SSID. I have tested thruput and ra...

I am under the impression that frq hopping does eliminate inter ssid domain interference ... I have several installations all using the same channel with seperate ssid domains and have noticed no reduction in range, sensitivity or thruput?

stephenpatrick do you have the option of putting seperating the four sectors into seperate SSID ... this would help with client management and at the same time compleatly eliminate your channel issues... the best feature of MT is the ability to support multiple radios so why not take advantage of it

the second network connot access the public side because you either need a src-nat to the interface supporting network #2 or a route in the ISPs router supporting the second interface ... I am assuming the #1 network interface is src-nat to the public side ...

I do this by simply dst-nat each box with both ports and allowing established connections... I log into the first router then enable the dst-nat rule and change the to-dst-address to each subsequent router ... I have logged onto 4 routers this way... my entire network is src-nat behind one ip and us...

tx-power Senao NL-2511MP PLUS mpci

Is the tx-power adjustable on the Senao NL-2511MP Plus mini-pci cards when used on a RB with MT-OS v. 2.8.22... I have set the tx-power and prism-card
but changes seem to have no effect ... tx-power-contro=yes ... I am scanning the interface from another RB but see no change in signal strength?
