Management of remote MT devices across VPN

I am trying to create a tunnel between me and my customer MT LTE devices so that I can manage them remotely when not on my own wireless network. I have the VPN running fine where it runs ALL bandwidth across it (instead of using the providers gateway for Internet traffic), but all I really need is a...

Audience LTE6 Config Problem

I am trying to setup an Audience LTE6 Kit and it is connected to AT&T here in the US, but the throughput is almost non-existant. I have a Netgear Nighthawk next to it that pulls down 30 + Mbps but the MT is barely getting 1 Mbps at most. I know I must be doing something wrong, but I have no idea...

Route question

I just added a small network and the upstream provider gave me a /27 and is using the first IP address as the gateway on his side. Normally I would get a /30 between the upstream and me, but in this case he opted to do this instead. The way that I setup the routing did not seem to work. I setup the ...

Limit web browsing on specific IP addresses

I want to limit specific IP addresses to only browse a specific number of work-related websites/URL's. Can someone suggest best approach to this?

Thanks in advance.

There are other elements to my network. i.e. There is a switch upstream with other access points. I will be implementing this on those as well.

Simple 450G Setup

I have an RB450G and want to connect 4 Access points to my upstream router. I want to use it purely as a switch but want to configure it properly to avoid bridging loops between the Access Points. I have scoured the forum but have not seen exactly what I am looking for. Assistance is greatly appreci...

Re: Controlling port 80 bandwidth coming into the network

So I am attempting to understand the hard cap on the Heavy HTTP traffic. Using a PCQ on a queue tree, and the way I have marked my traffic, would the 2 Mbps cap on Heavy HTTP be on each port connection or on the entire IP address destination? More accurately, if there is a data stream on port 80 fro...

Re: Controlling port 80 bandwidth coming into the network

I have instituted the 4 packet marking mangle rules, but I am trying to decide which option for QoS is better for me: I have enough overall bandwidth on my network, however we are a WISP and our access points are also getting overwhelmed by the Netflix/Video traffic. 1) If I set Heavy HTTP traffic a...

I was wondering if attending MUM Europe would be as useful for me than attending MUM USA instead. (I am in the USA). I would like to combine business with a holiday if MUM Europe would be just as helpful. Any opinions?

Re: Controlling port 80 bandwidth coming into the network

Re: Controlling port 80 bandwidth coming into the network

You are incorrect. Netflix states that they need a minimum of 1.5 Mbps of bandwidth for their service. If I provide them with 2 Mbps, I am not denying them service, nor am I making it of a lesser quality. More than 1.5 Mbps merely allows the user buffer to fill faster. Also, I am not throttling them...

Controlling port 80 bandwidth coming into the network

We are running into issues with Netflix consuming too much of our bandwidth at night especially. When I torch the Netflix traffic, I have been able to determine that each customer feed comes from a single IP address, using port 80, although it can sometimes be across more than one connection at the ...

DNS Failure

I have several x86 boxes running MT v4 and 3. On each of them, over a period of time, the DNS service has stopped functioning. Re: Link line is red

Ok, I understand that it means high usage, but what constitutes high? I have a 100 Mbps connection to my upstream provider on this link, but it turns red at about 38 Mbps. Is it turning red merely because of the amount of bandwidth, or is it showing packet loss or some other alert status?

Re: DNS Problems

Have another piece of info to add: I added a static entry into the table, and when I do a remote lookup, it works, so the problem is definitely that it is not doing a lookup of the upstream Nameservers that I entered into the Primary and Secondary DNS fields.

I have a router running 3.7. Recently it stopped providing remote DNS requests. I do not know if it is not doing NS Lookups, or processing remote requests, or both.

Any suggestions?

Sorry to hear that you are having this problem, but it is one that many users in this forum would beg to have. Now I HAVE seen everything. Perhaps if you figure out why this is occurring you would let the rest of us know so those that want to limit p2p can use it :)

Re: Amplifier

You are also likely to see the performance of your radio cards degrade over time as the amp will overdrive the cards. You will end up replacing cards and amps repeatedly. You are better off using a highpower card without the amp. Also, as mentioned in other replies, you will just amp up the noise in...

Not looking for moral or legal commentary here, just explanations:

If you leave the setting for country at no_country_set, does it default to the highest power setting? If not, what actually occurs, performance wise?
