Re: v6.47.6 [stable] is released!

Will this fix the high battery issue with mobile devices? this started with the 6.47 versions, up to 6.46 the battery drain was normal on phones and tablets, it went up to 4x with the 6.47 versions. I see no improvement here. My Oneplus drains like crazy, but GF's Nokia doesn't seem to have problem...

Re: Pi-Hole and Mikrotik - DNS - Pi-hole only show my router’s IP address

I use this rules to see my devices IP in pi-hole, (kind of, i only have to interpret 10 as 192), my pi-hole ip is 192.168.0.8, i use my router ip for dns in dhcp, 192.168.0.1, but the router catches all the dns traffic and send it to my pi-hole, and mascarade it so i can see in pi-hole the device ip...

Re: Tool: Using Splunk to analyse MikroTik logs 3.1 (Graphing everything)

The point with the script is to send all information using syslog. If you selet that log should be sent to disk, it will also go there. As far as I know, you can not split the logg saying that some should go to disk, some to memory and some to disk. I still do not understand why you need logs to di...

Re: ROS Hairpin NAT - preserving origin IP for log purpose [SOLVED]

I'm not sure which WAN is which and if the server is part of list, but this should do the trick (before other rules):
/ip firewall mangle
add action=accept chain=prerouting dst-address=10.168.0.0/24 in-interface=bridgeLAN
Thanks, that worked!!

Re: ROS Hairpin NAT - preserving origin IP for log purpose [SOLVED]

Route to virtual addresses (10.168.88.0/24 or whatever you used) on web server machine must point to router where you're doing this. You don't need to add anything, it's covered by default route, if it points to this router. Basically it would be a problem only if server had route to this subnet go...

Re: ROS Hairpin NAT - preserving origin IP for log purpose [SOLVED]

You can't have real source address, that's impossible. It's what you have without hairpin and it doesn't work. Hairpin makes it work, but you lose the real source address. It's a tradeoff, you can have one or another... ... or something in between. You can map original subnet to some virtual subnet...

Re: High Battery usage with 6.47 stable

Why do you think ROS is the cause for battery drain? This can be coincidence only. Please do not forget that Google pushes several updates to your phone which can cause higher consumption and usually are fixed by new updates. i dont think is a coincidence because this was the same behavior as soon ...

Re: High Battery usage with 6.47 stable

On thing may create problem for you. You have added lan IP on an interface and not an bridge. You are not the first and for sure 100% not the last one to make this error. DHCP server is correctly configured on the bridge, so why did you miss the main IP? I guess you have upgraded from an older vers...

Re: High Battery usage with 6.47 stable

Multicast-helper causes higher battery usage. If battery life is a concern you might want to disable it.
I did try disabling it and it was the same high battery consumption. Also i don't have that problem with 6.46.6. So it's still a 6.47 problem.

May I suggest moving all those Google devices to the 2.4 GHz network and see if they manifest the same similar problem?
