controlling console output from script

I'm using SNMP to pull the results from a script on a Mikrotik and for simple stuff it is working great. However, when I want to do something a little more complex I'm having trouble controlling the output of the script to just output the final result. I have a script like this: :put ([/interface ov...

Re: How to increase script execution timeout

This is not the smartest way to deal with it but at least it works enough for the script to continue. You may need to increase the delay depending on what device you have. /certificate add name=hello copy-from=client-template common-name=hello@somewhere.example :do { /certificate sign [find name=hel...

Re: Action timed out during script execution

I know this is very old but I've run into exactly the same issue. This is not the smartest way to deal with it but at least it works enough for the script to continue. You may need to increase the delay depending on what device you have. /certificate add name=hello copy-from=client-template common-n...

Re: Filtering outputs on print commands? How?

Thing is, I am trying to make a python script that connects to the router and gets all the ip firewall connection info, but when I run the command from the python script only the first 4 columns get printed out. It's because the terminal window the script opens up isn't big enough to hold all the d...

Re: Feature Request: TACACS/TACACS+

+1 for TACACS+ support!
Really like being able to limit what commands a user can run (great for creating a backup user that can only run a backup command).

Re: obtain graphing source data [SOLVED]

Hi Jan,
No worries.
If you want to collect info like memory and cpu usage on all of them you should check out librenms (or something similar). They have a prebuilt VM that you can use for testing.
Cheers,
Nathan

Re: obtain graphing source data [SOLVED]

Hi Jan, Not sure if this helps your use case but mikrotiks do support SNMP so you can poll snmp and then produce graphs from the polled data. One open source example of an snmp polling tool is https://www.librenms.org . Otherwise you could setup netflow on the mikrotik to send aggregated stats off t...
