Re: CCR2004-16G-2S+PC + POE-IN usage

According to https://mikrotik.com/product/ccr2004_16g_2s_ , it does not have POE-IN.

Re: The big CCR2004 reboot thread (was 2004 hardware issues?)

Yes, sorry, that's what i meant. We did upgrade it but our monitoring didn't see it as have "gone down", so it is still "okay" since last incident which was on 22 august 2020. It's actual uptime is 126 days, which is when it was upgraded.

Re: The big CCR2004 reboot thread (was 2004 hardware issues?)

We use BGP, but not on the CCR2004s, only on CCR1072 at the moment, as they have been handling our peers and transits well. We currently get two full tables from two different transit operators, and have three main BGP-routers directly connected to eachother. I do not understand what you mean by &qu...

Re: The big CCR2004 reboot thread (was 2004 hardware issues?)

We have about 12 CCR2004, one of our oldest just crossed the 365 days without any incident(*) mark. We have it running 6.48.2, it has OSPF, MPLS/LDP/VPLS, and has both 1G and 10G optics. It is working perfectly, although it doesn't have much throughput. Our other CCR2004 all have almost the same con...

Re: ccr 2004 reboots randomly

We have about 10-15 CCR2004s in production, several of them running 6.48.1, and they work almost flawlessly with reboots every now and then. We have one core router which rebooted about once a week, but we have been running the betas in our lab without flaws and we decided about two-three weeks ago ...

Re: CCR1072 watchdog reboot

We haven't had any watchdog reboots on our multiple 1072, and we only use them for routing (OSPF and BGP) and MPLS/VPLS, no conntrack or firewall or vpns or stuff like that. We have had them crash due to DDoS-attacks, but other then that, they work perfectly.

Re: Can one mix SFP and SFP+ on the CRS317?

We use the 317 all over the place in our network, and we mix 10G and 1G optics (not just mikrotiks, but other vendors aswell) without any issue.

Re: Wall mounted Acces point?

As the two antennas have different radio arrays, it is possible that one of them will give better wifi coverage and speed, it is hard to tell really without testing, but as it is intended to be mounted on a wall, i would say a wAP ac would look better.

Re: CCR1072 wt Queues -> High CPU load

The CCr1072 isnt made for queues or firewall/nat, it was made to route packets. While it can handle some queues and firewall/natting, it doesnt have the clockspeed to handle it well.

Alternativly, you can add a CPU-display on the topbar of Winbox? (Right click the bar below the window-line and select "Add CPU")

Re: Which types of ports would you like to see for a high speed router

Interesting thread. I would like 2-4 QSFP ports with 24 SFP+ ports that are both 1 and 10 Gig capable. For the CPE HAP ac's etc a VOIP port RJ11 connection. Ehm, that 2-4 QSFP ports and 24 SFP+ already exists: https://mikrotik.com/product/crs326_24s_2q_rm AFAIK, mikrotik supports 1G and 10G SFPs in...

Re: Newsletter 92

The cube60 is made to be a cheap and simple way to make a PtMP with 60Ghz over a not so big area, and even if you had a 1Gbit version (which there are, you have the wAP and the Wireless Wire Dish), you cant get more out then you can get in...(As you only have a 1Gbit port on the devices) Just having...

Netflow and AS

Hi all. I just have a question regarding netflow. We recently setup a nfsen, and wanted to try to gather more information about our traffic regarding where it went and how it gets there. But one of the important things is AS-numbers, and according to the wiki (https://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:I...

Re: Can you make a CRS328-24P-4S+ both a switch and router

According to mikrotik test results (showed on hardware page) the CRS328-24P-4S+ have a theoretical CPU throughput(when cpu bridging/routing/firewall etc) of 1266mbps, but you wont get near that. During my tests i got about 500-700mbps with OSPF and static routes and i think i had one or two NAT-rule...

Re: New CCR

I would also like a router with 3-6 SFP+ ports, currently you have to pay for 1072(which is sortof expensive) to get a dual 10G links and still have a 10G downlink to other equipment. Using switches inbetween feels "wrong" and like an unessesary point of failure if you want multiple 10G li...
