Re: BIG BUG- Unicast key exchange timeout

This happened to me today with an antenna running 6.31. Since 6.31 has the password bug (where it literally changes passwords to asterisks) I had to change my password on the AP to "**********" let the client connect, do the upgrade to 6.33 and only then change the passwords back. Just in ...

Check your cables and inyectors. ipv6 route list destination filter

Hi!

Any idea why on the ipv6 route list there is no option to filter a network like /32 or /30?

Image

Basically every way to filter BUT dst. address.

Re: SFP module on SFP+ port on CCR1009 does not work

OK, to answer my own question yes it works BUT you have to disable auto-negotiation on BOTH sides. I assumed it was only on the SFP+ side, but no, on the RB2011 wich has a SFP port, I had to do it also: [jfrater@CRIX] /interface ethernet> moni 8 name: sfp-sfpplus1 status: link-ok auto-negotiation: d...

SFP module on SFP+ port on CCR1009 does not work

Hi, I'm trying to install 2 MAXXWAVE SFP modules on the CCR1009-8G-1S-1S+ but only the SFP port works On the SFP+ port the module shows up, but it does not transmit so the other side shows no-link [jfrater@CRIX] /interface ethernet> monitor 8 name: sfp-sfpplus1 status: link-ok auto-negotiation: done...

Upgrading from 5.x to 6.14 will remove wireless config so DON'T!

If you want you can upgrade to 6.13 AND THEN to 6.14, that works fine. 8)

Re: ROS 6.x Simple Queue Time Match Problem.

Yes, sorry for that, it´s a feature not a bug. Now, in ROS 6.x, rules will show up as invalid if they are outside the time range. It makes sense since before you couldn't tell if a rule was "active" or not. :D

Re: ROS 6.x Simple Queue Time Match Problem.

In my case the time set as the end time becomes invalid IF it is less than the actual time... so if the routers clock says it 8:46 pm you can't have a rule set to 8:45 but it's OK if it's 8:47. BUT it will becoame invalid 2 minutes later, nice bug ehh? :D

Re: Listing the routing table via SNMP

Well to answer my own question, if I force the SNMP program to use SNMP v1 it works, it does detect the router to be v2 compatible and thats why I only tried v2, but at least on RouterOS 4.9 it works with v1

each tunnel should have it's own id, then add them as a port on your single big bridge.

Listing the routing table via SNMP

Hi, I want to get the routing table from a router but with no luck, everything else like IP and interfaces have no problem.

Is there a way to do that on routerOS? I've tried v 4.9 5.0 and 5.2 and nothing.... :(

Thanks

IPv6 to IPv4 translation?

Hello there! I´ve my own IPv4 /21 net and a IPv6 /32 net working nicely. The thing is that one of the servers is running cPanel and the don´t support IPv6 just yet. I've looked at a couple of ways to reverse proxy or translate a site on an IPv4 server to be able to talk to the IPv6 world. Is that so...

Hi, I use the voltage meter quite a lot since all my APs are connected directly to a 12 V battery. So in ver 4.9 I get: [root@ns objects]# /usr/bin/snmpget -t 1 -r 9 -m ALL -v 1 -c public 172.22.4.10:161 1.3.6.1.4.1.14988.1.1.3.8.0 SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.14988.1.1.3.8.0 = INTEGER: 126 So I know eve...

They have very little memory, so be sure to disable all unnesesary packages, also, be sure to upgrade your firmware, sys rou up should do it.

Bye and good luck,

Re: Very low performance using Mikrotik for routing (with Queue)

Did you fix this yet?

BTW have you tried just making one simple queue at one interface? (intead of 2 rules)

Like queue>general>max TX>6M and max RX>6M then on advanced interface> xxxx

It's what I use and it works fine....

Jumper settings for 24v on RB532

Hi:

Could anyone tell me what jumper settings they are using when conecting the RB532 to a 24v power supply?

Re: Packet loss

BTW. Only the very basic is enabled: advanced-tools, dhcp, routerboard, security, system and wireless. on the CPU issue, I did check the CPU, with v3 it was between 2 and 6%, but every 5 or 10 secs it jumped to 100% then back to between 2 and 6% After the downgrade, cpu load stays at 0 to 4%. Jorge.

Re: Packet loss

That's simple, because I bougth 6 RB 333 to be used as AP, but they give me so many problems that I rather use the 112. I'm 99% sure that it's a software/config problem, because I can only use ver 3 x on the 333s. Using 2.9 gives me no problems on any hardware, this is the reason I'm writing in this...

Packet loss

OK, I don't know what the problem is, so I'll just explain what I did. AP is running ver 2.9.48 on 112 board, Ubiquiti SR5 radio. Client is running ver 3 RC9, on board 133c, R52 radio. 5Ghz band, 5180 MHz It *feels* slow, if you do a ping you see many time outs. :( So, we downgrade the client to 2.9...

Winbox crashes when cliking clock.

Hi all,

I just upgraded my 333 AP board from RC4 to RC6 and now when I go on the winbox (2.2.11) system -> clock it just closes the winbox window.

Any Ideas?

Re: Duplicate pings after routerboard 333 upgrade

Ok, now it's even worse, now it's dropping clients, you can see them registered but you cannot ping them from the AP.

Is this a software or hardware malfunction? Should I just go back to using the 112 with 2.9.46?

Thanks

Re: Duplicate pings after routerboard 333 upgrade

They’re no bridges on the network. We do have redundant paths using OSPF, but that's on the backbone, from it, via Ethernet we connect this AP, it does not have OSPF, it only uses 2 interfaces, the Ethernet to connect to the backbone and one Ubiquiti XR5 on a /27 IP net to connect to all the 14 clie...

Duplicate pings after routerboard 333 upgrade

Hi,

2 days ago I upgraded an AP wich had an 112 to a 333, since then I've been getting duplicate pings on the clients that have lower signals, arround -85 Db

I'm running v3 rc4, but tried v3 rc6 with same results. Also, all of the 14 clients on that AP run 2.9.46

Any ideas?
