Has anyone seen this error before? Running TheDude 3.0rc3 on ROS 3.13. After about 24 hours, TheDude alerts for every one of my monitored devices, with a status of "Socket failed: Too many open files". A reboot fixes the problem, but it inevitably appears again in about 24 hours. This make...
I hate to do the BUMP thing, but hoping someone can help. In addition to the static leases, I also have a pool of non-routeable private IP address that will be assigned in the event of a static DHCP lease error, or the lack of a static DHCP lease. These customers are NOT receiving the private IP add...
Anyone ever seen this before? I assign all users a Static DHCP lease and enter a rate-limit which creates a simple queue for the user. Some leases are not showing up as bound, but the user is indeed receiving the IP address. The problem is, if the MT does not show the lease as being bound, it does N...
Following on a previous posters [iredden] idea, I created a script to automate batch commands from a linux host. First, you have to setup the SSH for the server you will be running this from. See http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Use_SSH_to_execute_commands_%28DSA_key_login%29 Create listing of Mikrotik...
I imported a backup file from my current MT server to a new MT server that I am building. Both boxes use the same Syskonnect/DLink Gigabit network cards. Somehow the MAC addresses of the ethernet cards in my current MT server are attached to the ethernet cards of my new MT server. I receive 'Invalid...
I am setting up a new router to replace my old one (better cpu, more memory, etc). I have an IBM desktop board with Intel 1.8ghz processor and 3 x 512mb PC133 SDRam installed. I am using a 64mb DoM with 2.9.20 installed. In MT, it incorrectly states that the memory is < 1gb even though the IBM Bios...

I would like to be able to add Mikrotik Simple Queues based on information from a MySQL database. The database could have name, target, dst, interface, direction, tx queue, rx queue priority, limit-at, max-limit, etc fields and would add those to the Mikrotik with a script that could be automaticall...
The first 500 boards shipped do not support more than 9W of power. You can tell this by looking at the board. It does not have a connector on the pads that are marked 'Daughterboard.' They may have problems with the non-standard mpci SR cards. Also, you have not confirmed that you have set the CPU ...
You should first test and then we can try to check something else. John Test what exactly?!? My process of elimination, we have all eliminated a lot of things. We confirmed this issue isn't specific to the SR2/5 cards as some expierenced this with CM-9 cards. We also confirmed this issue took place...
Is this whole problem a 333MHz "overclocking" issue ? Does sound a bit like could be PCI bus timing stability at that speed. Am about to order some of these cards for testing, would like to know also ... Regards I would think that at 333mhz, supplied 24v 1.25A that it would be able to run...
You should set the CPU to 266MHz (the RB532 model). This works for us with two SR5 cards. John John: Usually I would listen to your advice, but the problem I am having right now is that the wireless interface is disappearing with only one installed SR5 card. The board is set to 333. Any other ideas...
As noted, power-cycling the radio sometimes fixes the problem, sometimes it does not. The only sure solution is reseating the wireless cards. Even some times this takes two tries. I myself have not experienced this problem with CM-9 cards, but we haven't really used CM-9's in RB532/513's with Router...
Actually, we haven't used CM-9 cards in the RB513's. We have only used the SR2/5 card and what I realized is we only seem to have the problem when the SR5 (5.8ghz) card is used. We originally though it was because we were using two SR2/5 cards, so we quit doing that. Well, the current problem we are...
Not sure if this is still out there but we are having the same problem, all they way up through RC7. Using RB513 Routerboard running RC7. The wireless interfaces just disappear with the only resolution being re-seating the wireless cards. Unfortunently, this isn't a viable option with disperse remot...
