Re: MQS Weirdness

Plan C it is.

I've been able to get the MQS to behave SLIGHTLY more consistently but it's still not robust enough that I trust it to work for my smart hands.

Grabbed the cAP Lite from the garage, setup basic AP/bridge also threw in a Wireguard tunnel to a VPS as a contingency :D

Re: MQS Weirdness

Yeah, plan C is pulling the cAP Lite out of my garage and building it up as a bridge and shipping that up instead ;)

MQS Weirdness

Entirely possible I'm completely missing something but I've recently purchased an MQS and it's behaving strangely and inconsistently, not sure if I'm an idiot or if I've got a dud unit. First off: the use-case I bought it for was that I have an RB1100 900km away that I've done "the dumb" o...

Re: Quectel EP06-E and wAP R ac (RBwAPGR-5HacD2HnD)

Thanks for the content in this thread it's been invaluable in both an older build with an EC25 and a new build with a pair of EP06-E's. For those who are wondering, I can confirm that MBIM mode works fine with the EP06 under ROS7 (I'm running 7.1beta2). A warning though, it seems that when you switc...

Profile Issue on hEX

Hi All, Recently uplifted one of my hEX (RB750Gv3) boards to ROS 7.1b2 to do some testing around wireguard, noticed that there seems to be an issue with performance monitoring. The config is minimal, DHCP client, a srcnat rule in firewall and a couple of wireguard interfaces, nothing else. Was tryin...

Re: Pushing Bridges out over VLAN Trunks

As I mentioned it's a very atypical environment ;) I showed ether2 as a separate network in the original post to avoid this type of confusion getting in the way of an answer (and for the purposes of the question it was functionally equivalent) :) But for the sake of your sanity, there's a /28 routed...

Re: Pushing Bridges out over VLAN Trunks

Just in case anybody is looking to do a similar config this is what I ended up with; /interface bridge add name=trunk protocol-mode=none vlan-filtering=no add name=wan_bridge add name=lan_bridge add name=mgmt_bridge /interface vlan add interface=trunk name=wan_vlan vlan-id=330 comment="WAN VLAN...

Re: Pushing Bridges out over VLAN Trunks

Yeah, the Router-Switch-AP is the closest to what I want to achieve, but I'll have to rework my existing config a bit to make it work with that, thanks.

Pushing Bridges out over VLAN Trunks

Hi All, I've got an RB1100 setup with a fairly basic config, essentially we've got an uplink to the internet and then three separate subnets (separate bridges) hanging off different ports on the RB (the rest of the ports are also in use but the configuration of them is not relevant to this question)...

Re: RB912/EC25 issues

@SiB yeah, a friend elsewhere directed me to that. It gave me the magic to at least get it working in PPP mode, "/port firmware set ignore-directip-modem=yes" was the key. Whilst according to the wiki this OUGHT to work in LTE mode it doesn't seem to play nice, I might have another poke at...

Re: mipsbe install issues

Excellent, thanks, after upgrading to latest testing I was able to upgrade to 7.0beta3 from winbox.

Thanks again.

mipsbe install issues

Hi All, Having an issue installing ROS7b3 on a mipsbe platform. If I check for updates in the "development" channel it finds that 7.0beta3 is the current version, but if I try to download it the download fails with "status: ERROR: missing routeros-mipsbe-7.0beta3.npk" I downloade...

RB912/EC25 issues

Hi All, Recently picked up an RB912 and an EC25 for LTE backup WAN link. I've run into an issue getting ROS to recognise the EC25, it shows up under resources as an "Android" device (does the same under windows, but Alpine Linux recognises it correctly) and does not expose any serial inter...
