Dropping Pings

We are noticing that when we ping out from our Routerboard in the evening especially when the bridge interface has 1500 to 2000 Packets per second running through it we get about 10% to 20% dropped pings. However the Interface stats do not show any dropped packets? . capture 1.PNG We are on a Fiber ...

Broken Pages on Mobile Devices

We are experiencing an issue where some of our clients are getting broken pages on their mobile devices and Mac devices. Weird thing is it's not all customer and not all mobile devices. We are trying to narrow it down to a particular type of router or particular mobile devices but its random. The on...

Mikrotik + Freeradius Issue + MSSql (Platypus)

We are attempting to migrate to the Platypus billing solution and are extremely close. We are having a random issue that we cannot figure out, hopefully someone can shed some light on what we are dealing with here. 90%+ of of the users are redirecting from Mikrotik to the Freeradius server which che...

Getting broken web pages on MOBILE devices only in HOTSPOT

Has anyone had this issue? We are having issues with customers using mobile devices, IPad, Iphone, Android, ETC.. getting broken pages when they are logged in through the hotspot. As soon as we BYPASS them through the hotpot they are fine, browsing resumes normally. We have also noticed that flushin...

Hotspot Lock Up

We have been experiencing a very odd issue with a couple of our Hotspot routers recently. For some reason the Hotspot will randomly lock up and stop mac authenticating users and users will just get the login page. We check the active list and it only shows a few listings. After a reboot the active l...

Re: Weird Issue with 10Mbps vs 100Mbps

The POE runs going up the tower are approx 150'. At the bottom of the tower we connect the two radios together via a 2' patch cable. We are using standard B Cat5e wiring.

Weird Issue with 10Mbps vs 100Mbps

Side A - RB433 SR5 w/ WDS Side B - RB433 SR5 w/ WDS (Backhaul) also SR5 acting as 5.8 AP RB433 2 R52H serving 2.4 We directly connect the two routerboards together. Mac-Auth Random User Log in Requests???

We are using Hotspot with Mac-Auth. It works great for the most part. However we are noticing a couple really weird issues.. Users who are Mac Authenticated will randomly not MAC-AUTH and get a log in page and are required to enter a username and password. Is there a reason or a fix for this? Typica...

Mac Auth Randomly Getting Login Page

I have my network setup with Hotspot and the majority of my customers are set to Mac Authenticate. Everything is working fine for the most part. However for some reason users still randomly get a login page? I am using 2.9.51. We typically will give the user a login and get them in the system and on...

Re: High Ping Time RB532 w/ R52H Horizontal Sector only???

Is the R52H bad? I thought that was a good card? I think i narrowed the issue down to a couple customers using P2P and hogging the AP. Would this cause ping times on the AP to go up? If so, short of cutting the customer off completely, how do I limit their TCP connections to the AP at the AP. i know...

Limiting TCP Connections at AP

How do I limit TCP connections at the AP side? I have P2P customers hogging the AP with a massive amount of tcp connections. I have a rule setup in the main router to limit the connections and it seems to be working as the counter is continuous, however the same rule on the AP doesn't work? Can I li...

High Ping Time RB532 w/ R52H Horizontal Sector only???

Suggestions Please: I now have 2 sites acting the same. The both are 16db Horizontal 95degree sectors. One has 4 associations and the other has approx 20 associations. No matter what channel i put the AP on I get less than 10ms ping times for approx. 1 minute then the ping times jump to approx 1000m...

Routerboard 532 w/ Ubiquiti XR2 Reboot Power Question

I just deployed an RB532a w/ 2 Ubiquiti XR2 Cards... Radio was very unstable when I turned the TX Power Levels to the Levels indicated on Ubiquiti's Data Sheet of 28dbm.. Once i returned these settings to DEFAULT in MKTIK Wireless TX Power Settings the issue seems to be resolved, radio has returned ...
