Re: supout.rif deleted after reboot

But it is shown in the "File list" and I as a user cannot see that there is a difference of my backup files and these .rif files. At least there should be something like an indicator that its just written in the RAM.

ISP multiple IP over transfer net in one router [SOLVED]

Hi there, a client of mine just got from his ISP a configuration for multiple public IP-addresses over a transfer net. They recommend to use their transfer router so one could just use the transfer IP as gateway. We normally use one mtik as transfer router and the second for the actual routing. So m...

find switch port with fluke

Hey there, I just wondered when I use my Fluke cable tester it normally tells me which switch port I'm hooked up with... but not with my mikrotik switches (at least with ros on it) Sometimes the main router is responding and telling me that's where I'm connected to and sometimes i basically get no a...

Re: Dude v6 - Feature request list

I would love to see two features in the dude:

- backup of ROS clients (config backup of devices) ++ (automatically, periodically)
- automatically download of new ROS version and storing in the dude server maybe manually triggered (to save unnecessary bandwith and versions on the server)

Re: Specify custom Winbox port for ROS device in Dude

Well it seem not to work as intended.
Yes you can modify the port there but its working only with the default port even if you change it with Probe Port, and also when you change the probe itself...

Tested it now on a CHR with another CHR both on 6.48.3....

Re: Error handling

so here is no way of fetching an error thrown by a subroutine for advanced error handling / sending emails pushing notifications. thats a pity, i guess i should add that to the feature request list.

thanks for your help!

DHCP authorized-server

Hey there,

I'm about to deploy some MikroTik switches, while configuring I figured out that there is no way to define an authorized-server for dhcp-snooping, is that because there is no way doing that for V6 anyway or is it planned to be there some day?

thanks in advance,
