Re: Non-Mikrotik Wireless Extender MAC show in hotspot while device MAC only show in DHCP Lease

[SOLVED] Wavlink was problematic, in Bridge Mode it works fine but it keeps disconnecting and reconnecting the device every few minutes in random interval. Solution: tp-link TL-WA850RE in Extender Mode (I think previously called Proxy Mode) tp-link TL-WA850RE for $22, changed its gateway to the Mikr...

Re: Non-Mikrotik Wireless Extender MAC show in hotspot while device MAC only show in DHCP Lease

Repeater mode can be set to AP or Bridge: 1 - AP (DHCP is on but can be disabled manually, not sure why one would disable DHCP) 2 - Bridge (I suspect this disables DHCP and similar to WDS only MAC is visible, that is why I see all devices with the same MAC - no specific WDS options is available in a...

Re: Non-Mikrotik Wireless Extender MAC show in hotspot while device MAC only show in DHCP Lease

I have a WAVLINK AC1200 ( WL-WN579X3 ) that works perfectly in Bridge mode. (Bridge mode is suppose to disable extender DHCP IPs so they can be handled by Mikrotik). https://www.wavlink.com/en_us/product/WL-WN579X3.html In question is WAVLINK AC1200 ( WL-WN575A3 ) with exact settings in Bridge mode ...

Non-Mikrotik Wireless Extender MAC show in hotspot while device MAC only show in DHCP Lease

When logging in through the non-Mikrotik wireless extender (WAVLINK AC1200): /ip active users > show multiple devices using same extender MAC with different IP address for each, without asking for login after first (any) device (using same password!). /ip dhcp-server lease > show correct client MAC ...

Re: Remove DHCP Server IP Leases that are not active in Hotspot

You are right, Leases are automatically removed on expiry. Only logged-in and status 'Waiting' (if Lease is Static) remain in list. Lease Expiry is now 6 hours, /IP Pool subnet /24 with 254 IP addresses, should be enough. How to set pool size: /IP Addresses (add if not exist or modify current range)...

Re: Remove DHCP Server IP Leases that are not active in Hotspot [SOLVED]

# Add comment ="reserved" to corresponding DHCP Leases on login (those that don't login will have empty comments) # IP > Hotspot > User Profiles > Name > Scripts > On Login (long term user profiles only): :local userInfo $user; :global reserveMac [/ip hotspot active get [find user=$userInf...

Remove DHCP Server IP Leases that are not active in Hotspot

Non-customers trying to login, also Logged Out and expired Limit Uptime occupy DHCP Leases unnecessarily. * Lease Time of DHCP Server is set to 30 days for some customers, we also have lesser durations, hence I can't set lesser than 30 days as they keep getting logged out. Script objective: If 'dhcp...
