CCR2116 will not update firmware

Router is on 7.5. When I try to upgrade from winbox, it downloads, router restarts. Lights all come up, but I cannot access it by ethernet. I have to power cycle it to access it. When I get back into it, it is still on 7.5. I have also dragged the firmware file into the file section and rebooted the...

crs109-8g-1s-2hnd-in cpu frequency setting

So, I need a bit more performance from this. The CPU frequency setting offers choices of:
500
550
600
650
700
750mhz

Is it safe to run this at 750mhz?

Are there any USB wireless devices that will work with this router: CCR1009-7G-1C-PC?

Or any way to get a wireless interface on it to act as an AP so it can be accessed wirelessly using Winbox?

Re: Mikrotik DHCP lease time with Ubiquiti and wireless routers

So the Ubnt radio is the problem, or the home router? Should I have the same or different renew times on everything, or does it even matter? Or should I just bridge the Ubnt user radio and let the Mikrotik hand the IP straight to the users router?

Shouldn't that MTU be 1500 instead of 1524? Will that cause problems like I am having?

Hello all,

I have the above mentioned router. I have it on a UPS, but every once in a while it will lose power. I have to unplug and replug it several times to get it to come back on.

Does this sound like a power supply issue or a problem with the router itself?

Thanks.

Re: demo license support external radius or not?

ok, I still don't know if the demo license supports radius pass through or not. I can only assume it does, but like I said, I went ahead and purchased the next level license anyway. Turns out, I had forgotten to enter the secret key for radius for the MT router into my radius client file. It started...

yes, it is a point to point link That part runs fine, and has for years. Mainly it is the radius authentication that I need to get working.

demo license support external radius or not?

Hello folks, just a simple question. I am currently running an evaluation MT server (see my other posts concerning DHCP). Will the registered demo license support external radius authentication? On one of my interfaces I have a wireless PTP link attached and working fine. On the remote end I have a ...

Re: cannot get DHCP running correctly.

ok, I added more RAM, it seems to be running fine now. On one of my interfaces I am running a wireless PTP link. On the remote end I have a Ascend MAX with dial-up internet access. I have a central Radius server setup here at my main location which authenticates the remote MAX box users. However, si...

Re: cannot get DHCP running correctly.

Yes - I finally found that masquerading was required for the local machines to "see" the outside world. After I entered the command, it started working correctly. However, the performance seems a bit slow. Is there anything I can check concerning performance? This MT box I am building is g...

Re: cannot get DHCP running correctly.

update - OK, I didn't have my subnet mask declared in the address list page for 192.168.1.1 I put in 192.168.1.1/24. Now from the Windows PC attached to a switch attached to that interface (I named it Office-network), I can ping the gateway (192.168.1.1), I can ping the MT router (68.95.x.x). But I ...

Re: cannot get DHCP running correctly.

I tried running the wizard. Any type of IP pool I try to enter in the addresses to setup box, I get an invalid pool message. I am trying anything, such as 192.168.1.2-192.168.2.100. So instead of using the wizard, I just went through and manually set it up. Using the wizard - Am I supposed to put an...

cannot get DHCP running correctly.

Good day all, I am somewhat of a newbie at this, so please be patient with my explanation: I am setting up a Mikrotik router using a PC. Lets say it is at IP 1.2.3.4. ( I actually have a full block of class C). I have another NIC in it that I have assigned 192.168.1.1. I am trying to set that interf...
