Good Idea. We are doing just that. We are using the Mikrotik as Passive Probe to stream intercept to our mediation device. We also use the mikrotik OS as the VPN Server for the LEA. We are testing with LEAs as we speak.

You are probably right to say that it is not fair. All I am really trying to express is that Cisco needs to foster a more open forum of ideas. They make a great product and they are indeed the standard in IP Routing. Not sure they are the best "Engineers" though.

I am a licensed Electrical Engineer and your description above is one of the best descriptions of the IEEE wireless evolution. It is also a great description of modulation. I am excited to see a more technical approach to answers digging into the physics of radio transmission. So many of the problem...

mperdue: It is a simple solution that works well. USing your example 192.168.1.1 MT I assume is the core router. under /ip/routing/ospf set this router's ID to 10.10.10.1 and distribute as type one and redistribute default route. Create an area of 0.0.0.0 then go to .2 and set up an ID of 10.10.10.2...

Dont go thw WDS route. Take advantage of the fact that MT is a RouterOS. Set up OSPF! Works great and less overhead.

same issue of error 619 on pptp authenticatioin

I am having the same issue here. In fact I have serveral MT and from the house I am able to get into one (pptp) and not the other. I looked at pptp server settings at both and ensured all settings are the same. For some reason it hangs at authentication attempt when I try to get in. I do not beleive...

I have the same issue. I have set up 66.143.27.10 to 10.10.10.110 in routes and assresses. I configured remote IPaddess in PPPOE secret. Still cant ping fromoutside - I am lost!!!
