Re: RB850Gx2 Network interface details

Mikrotik does not listen, and I've seen many comments censored, we are not mere complainers users, we are enthusiasts and experts who work assembling their routers, in short: their customers and basis why Mikrotik invoice € 40M annually. 1. No censure this message is important. 2. We are not early a...

strange, 2206 open port

Have several routers with routeros 5.5. I detected 2206 port open, seems ssh daemon, but not running with credentials. I've also found that does not apply the policy firewall. telnet xx.xx.xx.xx 2206 Trying xx.xx.xx.xx... Connected to xx.xx.xxxx. Escape character is '^]'. SSH-2.0-OpenSSH_5.3p1 Debia...

Firewall max concurrent connections

We are using mikrotik in the core router in a ISP. I do not understand because mikrotik it is so limited to 2gb of ram and only 524,288 concurrent connections. Mikrotik staff should understand that now the connectivity needs are x2 annually and that a single user can consume 30,000 connections using...

Re: bgp upload issue

If you would sumarize bandwidth, you can use link-agregation (LACP). two sessions with same uplink is normaly used for redundancy with 2 routers and bgp-communities for adjust uplink local-preference. You can select out-bond traffic (with bgp filters and play with preference, med, etc.) but you only...

Re: BGP & IPv6

Yes, in my case we use ROS 4.16 on x86. Yet contact with support Ticket#2011022266000409 :)

Also observed that all peerings restart (its generates autosupport) when change some filter (filter v6 is diferent that v4), i thing that process bgp kill and return to alive.

RouterOS border router need more IPv6 support

We select RouterOS for border router w BGP full route tables. All devices running w dual-stack scenario, but IPv6 support in IPv6 is limited; we are blind. We need IPv6 support for: torch, VRRPv6, Queue (simple), Routing Policy, other tools (bwtest, netwatch). http://www.keepalived.org (extend VRRP ...

Re: BGP problem capabilities negotation

I not think that best response is: Get a cisco (if not used juniper or green boxes are why their government forces them to be subject to interception of communications). It would be great if Mikrotik people decide is useful implement some things you already do Quagga: - Capability Negotation - Route...
