pe1chl, why is this so hard to understand? your complaint is about routerboot settings, that you can't switch to "try-ethernet-once-then-nand". You can, switch now and upgrade later. about partitions, their purpose is to reboot into backup, when device fails to boot. this works without an...
All ports have Hardware Offload enabled. Enabled doesn't mean that it is active. RBD52G-5HacD2HnD (hAP ac²) has the AR8327 switch chip, which doesn't support hardware offloading on a VLAN enabled bridge. https://help.mikrotik.com/docs/display/ROS/Bridging+and+Switching#BridgingandSwitching-BridgeHa...
All previous versions (7.13, 7.14) only tested on hAP ac Lite (RB941-2nD) and rolled back to v6. The RB941-2nD is the hAP lite with 32MB RAM and not the hAP ac lite with 64MB RAM. MikroTik recommends installing ROSv7 on devices with at least 64MB RAM. https://help.mikrotik.com/docs/display/ROS/Upgr...
I noticed that on the RB5009 when doing a partition copy to (router has been configured with 2 partitions) some timing-critical tasks fail. (e.g. BGP with BFD, Tool->Netwatch) I don't think I have seen that with earlier versions... I have noticed the same when the RB5009 works as CAPsMAN. All CAP i...
I have a total of six devices currently installed with ROS 7.14.3 (including three hAP ac² with only 128 MiB RAM running as APs with wifi-qcom-ac driver) and cannot see a memory leak on any of them. Only a small fluctuation in the RAM usage can be seen, but at most +/- 5 MiB (even less on the hAP a...
Another 10 MiB of RAM went down the next day. Now I have 71.3 MiB (256 MiB version hAP ac^2) in 7 days and 13 hours of operation. I have a total of six devices currently installed with ROS 7.14.3 (including three hAP ac² with only 128 MiB RAM running as APs with wifi-qcom-ac driver) and cannot see ...
But it is reported to consume RAM over days slowly and not release this RAM anymore. This is a clear indication of bad garbage collection or not freeing allocated memory anymore. Commonly said as "memory leak". It's not great if the currently unused memory is not become free again, but I ...
SUP-147911 was submitted on 03/24/2024 (exactly 1 month ago) with my configuration, supout.rif, images and explanation. 1) No - free memory decreases by about 10MB/day. I tried going to zero (18 days running), but around 38MB of free RAM a reboot was necessary - the router simply stopped routing pa...
Yes, using ARM 16 MB device with wifi-qcom-ac will not leave you with much free space left. But this package for a reason is not installed "out of box". If you use such combination, you know that you will be living on the edge regarding the disk usage. @Strods This statement is a little i...
What about the possibility of using the WifiWave2 driver on the RB4011iGS+5HacQ2HnD-IN without losing the 2.4 GHz WiFi?
Or is there an alternative to exchange the built-in 2.4 GHz card to ensure compatibility?
Hopefully somebody with RB450Gx4 can check and tell you. Here is the RouterBoard info from my RB450Gx4, hope it helps you. routerboard: yes model: RB450Gx4 serial-number: xxxxxxxxxxx firmware-type: ipq4000 factory-firmware: 6.45.8 current-firmware: 7.8 upgrade-firmware: 7.8
I noticed a memory leak in the DNS server in version 7.7 on my RB4011. Has already been reported to support, have not received an answer so far.
Maybe this is the cause of some crashes.
There seems to be an additional performance issue with the RB3011 when using a bridge.
I can implement my configuration without a bridge and achieve almost the same speed as with ROSv6.
IPv6 with queues is a blocker for me as well... It is not fixed with 7.1.3 😢 - as there's no log entry I guess the same applies for 7.2rc4. 😢 I use different chains to mark the connection and the packets for my queue trees. Maybe this is a workaround for someone else too. /ipv6 firewall mangle add ...
With direct connected PC over WAN iperf show good speed in both directions: Hi mikruser I am also seeing the same speed problem between two computers over the internet (with or without an IPSec tunnel) with 15ms latency, RB3011 on one side and RB4011 on the other, and I am a little confused about y...
