MC7455 modem, working under 7.1b2 in MBIM is not functional under 7.1b5. A downgrade to 7.1b2 restores functionality.

Confirming same issue, 7.1b2 MC7455 works in MBIM, under 7.1b5 it no longer is recognized.

ROS 7v1 will load the drives to connect to the EM7511 in MBIM mode by default. Under Interfaces/LTE/Modem just make sure it's set to 'Auto'. Under v7.1B1 I was able to get the Sierra 7511 to connect and pass traffic.

I was able to get the EM7511 to register in MBIM mode on a LtAP running the v7.1B1 today. Status information is mostly missing, but it connects and passes traffic.

LtAP GPS works as expected prior to v7.. an upgrade to v7b8 from v6 causes the GPS functionality to no report data. log topic appears empty.
