ROS 7v1 will load the drives to connect to the EM7511 in MBIM mode by default. Under Interfaces/LTE/Modem just make sure it's set to 'Auto'. I was able to get the EM7511 to register in MBIM mode on a LtAP running the v7.1B1 today. Status information is mostly missing, but it connects and passes traffic.
