Re: Bypassing AT&T Residential Gateways with MikroTik

Do go on ...

I plan to do it soon. In a few weeks or so.
Hey - did you ever make any progress on that? Was looking through the thread the SFP module bypass looks very interesting.

CRS317 v7.1beta2 - arp=reply-only on VLAN interface causes router to enter fault

Hey, CRS317 RouterOS v7.1beta2 Thought I would report this issue: Trying to set up DHCP-only access on a dhcp server which is listening on a VLAN interface. I set add-arp on the DHCP server and set arp=reply-only on the vlan interface. As soon as I did this, the router stopped responding completely,...

Re: RouterOS v7.1beta3 - No Level3 Hardware offloading after enabling l3hw=yes on CRS317 [SOLVED]

This will be fixed in next beta. Meanwhile, please downgrade to v7.1beta2 to use L3 Hardware offloading. Thanks for this - I downgraded, and L3 HW offloading for inter-vlan routing works. However, when I try to set l3hw=fw, the device simply fails and reboots. When looking at the log, I see "c...

RouterOS v7.1beta3 - No Level3 Hardware offloading after enabling l3hw=yes on CRS317 [SOLVED]

Hey all, I am trying out RouterOS v7 Beta on a CRS317, but for some reason it is still using the CPU for all routing (inter-VLAN routing, no IP firewall rules or NAT) This is the process I took to upgrade: - Download & Install RouterOS from packages - reboot - Upgrade firmware & reboot It bo...

Re: CRS 3xx - L3 ASIC performance testing

Thanks for that. I've tried searching all over but have not seen anyone from MT mention the CRS328 yet re: hardware L3. In the meantime I am exploring a software solution, maybe VyOS to run on a VM.

Re: CRS 3xx - L3 ASIC performance testing

My question really is - should I expect to eventually get support for L3 hardware switching with my CRS328, or should I plan to find a different solution. I have time as a homelab user, so if the only thing standing in between that is a software release I can wait, but I know 328 has a different chi...

Re: CRS 3xx - L3 ASIC performance testing

From the wiki, I understand that L3 hardware offloading is currently only in the CRS317.

Are there plans (and is it possible) for L3 hardware offloading to be enabled on other CRS3XX devices?

I have a CRS328, and thanks for providing these test results.

Re: MetalLB BGP ECMP

Hey Simon,

Did you ever find a solution for this? I'm stuck at the same point as well with Mikrotik BGP + MetalLB.

Multi-hop BGP not forwarding (for MetalLB load balancing)

Hey all - I am trying to configure BGP with MetalLB to achieve load-balancing in my Kubernetes cluster. So far, I have set up the following: My RouterBoard has a BGP instance 65530 on the router In between the Kubernetes cluster and the router is a managed switch with L3 routing between VLANs, so th...
