Re: CCR2004-16G-2S+ Interfaces which are different speeds flap (100mbit)

For the curious or bored, hard-coding the interfaces to 100Mbps has no impact on the flapping. If other people are not seeing this as well, then I guess it's not a bug. At this time I have 2 theories: 1) I think that the interface flaps may be related to the way the sonos devices use the archaic STP...

Re: CCR2004-16G-2S+ Interfaces which are different speeds flap (100mbit)

A 100mbit interface on the CCR2004 flapped again. This time it was when I rebooted a synology that's hanging off of the device with 2 gigabit interfaces. This synology device is not generating spanning tree events like the sonos products do, so I don't think this is spanning tree. I tend to think it...

Re: CCR2004-16G-2S+ Interfaces which are different speeds flap (100mbit)

For reference, here's another thread with a few folks (and links to other related threads) mentioning port flapping on the first CCR2004 and the new ARM RB5009: https://forum.mikrotik.com/viewtopic.php?t=176626 ^ some of these folks seemed to conclude the issue was having winbox connected and lookin...

CCR2004-16G-2S+ Interfaces which are different speeds flap (100mbit)

I'm trying to determine if anyone else has observed this on the CCR2004 and if should file a bug report or if I need to try to capture more data to determine what is going on with the device. I have a CCR2004-16G-2S+ as an edge router/NAT-firewall for a /24 of private addresses. In addition to the s...

Re: v7.2rc4 is released!

Many thanks to everyone above who has suffered because of jumping on this hand grenade so that I (and others) didn't need to do so! I'll take one for the team next time!

Re: CCR2004-16G-2S+ NAT rules are flaky and often do not work [SOLVED]

I solved my own issue. I was way overcomplicating this, and there was nothing wrong with my logic or my config, but I had a memory blip. The way I connect to my home network is via a DNS CNAME that relies first upon the Mikrotik DDNS. When I swapped the routers, I also swapped DNS A names. So since ...

Re: CCR2004-16G-2S+ NAT rules are flaky and often do not work [SOLVED]

Hi Folks, I am trying to replace my old reliable RB4011 WAN router (terminates the gigabit pppoe connection to my ISP and then serves a default route for one /24 along with some port-forwarding for 5-6 different services) with a CCR2004-16G-2S+. So now I have the feed from my ISP on port 16 of the ...

sfp+2 is connected via twinax

Doubtful. Surely you mean LC-LC?

Re: CRS328-24P-4S+RM installation of fan3 and fan4

Apparently, there are four fans.
Will this make less noise if I change them?
A friend of mine just swapped her factory fans out today for the 40x20mm Noctua 12Vs and she has experienced a noise reduction of over 10 decibels! The difference is astounding.

Re: CRS328-24P-4S+RM installation of fan3 and fan4

The CRS312-4C+8XG is sitting in my living room and installed with RouterOS 7.1rc5. Still, from time to time, ever with very little network activity, the fans are turning with some noise. The noise is less than with swOS but still it is unacceptable in a living room. Apparently, there are four fans....
