dhcpv4-server - release lease if "check-status" reveals no conflict;
Can someone elaborate what this line fixes please?
I am getting "offering lease without success" issue from time to time thought it might be related somehow.

Re: Horribly slow Wi-Fi on Mikrotik network

The cheapest competitor in the US would be UniF--k AP lite. Which is $100. BS. There are zillions competitors. You may not like these because they don't have fancy software options. But hardware-wise there are plenty of AX options below $99. TP-LInk has at least Archer AX1500, AX23, AX53. Xiaomi do...

Re: Horribly slow Wi-Fi on Mikrotik network

For $99, good luck finding a gigabit AP other than hAP ax2.
Actually market is full of other brand AX AP's for half of that.

Re: WinBox v3.37 released!

This makes clear that CRS354 should have had ARM cpu, not MIPSBE one ...
However the cpu load been lower on v6. So I bet there is a room for the software improvement too.

Re: WinBox v3.37 released!

Would love to see less resources used when open "interface list" on something big and slow like crs354. It takes up to 40% of switch cpu just to refresh that list. Not doing any real job. A bit annoying.

Re: MikroTik Devices Controller

You could make the use of MQTT (or any other broker) for this. So monitoring enabled devices efficiently send info into the broker and if "controller" is up it can display received data the way it wants and without actual connections to the every device. This decoupling will be more flexib...

Unknown external IP's in ARP list

Hello, Just noticed strange IP's in my ARP list. See attached. Any ideas how these could get into ARP table? Some sort of attack? Or malware inside LAN? Or maybe that's fine at all. But I haven't seen this before. A bit worried if I am hacked somehow through the router. The firewall looks like this:...

CRS354 on v7.1: Sector Writes Since Reboot

Hello there, I do have crs354 switch that works mostly like an unmanaged one. No services are running on it. Nothing. And for some reason it writes something to the NAND. Sector Writes Since Reboot: 184056 IDK why is that and can I stop or decrease that thing. What could trigger the writes to the st...

Re: Wifi 7 - MikroTik when???

So does wave2 = wifi6 as I thought wave2 was a covid thing. ;-P
Current wifi on the capac is like my TP LINK EAP 245 with a virus (half a lung)..........
MT will be using vendor firmware just like a tp-link. No bicycle invention. There is a tiny chance they won't mess it completely. Will see.

Re: Wifi 7 - MikroTik when???

If you unpack wave2.npk there is firmware for the following WIFI6 devices: IPQ5018, IPQ6018, IPQ8074.
Seems wifi6 is coming in the observable future.

New big features in every release candidate? That's weird.
Codebase should be frozen and everyone work on bug fixes only.

Re: CRS354-48P-4S+2Q+ traffic problem on ports 1 to 8

If you don’t need Router functionality you could switch to SWOS, I have now 3 devices running since 30th of July without problems.
It been running for months without reboots and issues. Rare thing.

Re: CRS354-48P-4S+2Q+ traffic problem on ports 1 to 8

Got this issue at ports 41-48 on 49beta54 firmware and 48G (non PoE switch). Outdoor security cameras on these ports went down. I thought the issue happened to 12V line or something like that but nothing helped until switch been rebooted few hours later. I guess it might be somehow related to big ra...
