Pause frames are due to Flow Control. You can try turning flow control off, but may experience packet loss (retries) instead.

I am also seeing TX pauses between a 2x10gb LAG between Mikrotik switches (DAC SFP+) but it is intermittent. A few is probably normal with FC enabled.

2 or 2000 for each link depending on path cost mode. I'm using the long mode since I've got some Netgear switches which are hardcoded with the longer format.
