Re: Backup and restore Containers

Has anyone backup a container and restore it on a another drive(for example) and can STARTUP the restored one? I bought 2 x USB3 Sandisk Ultra 128GB and occasionally backup the data from one USB drive to the other. I've also used the backup when Mikrotik has not shutdown the container properly and ...

Re: Backup and restore Containers

Valid question and I am curious too for the solution. Have you already launched a ticket towards support ? They should be able to tell how it needs to be done. Nope! For the moment i use this containers only as a "playground". For scenarios with a relevant use case, i need a functional ba...

Re: Wifi connection deteriorated with USB device attached

Same here, mikrotik L009UiGS-2HaxD USB3.0 hub with 2 SSDs and the rose-storage package, the wireless nearly "useless" / weak while using the USB-devices - unplug it, wireless works great. Little "workaround": when storage speed not needed, plug a USB 2 Hub between the devices, yo...

Re: l009uigs-2haxd-in Wireguard speed only 70 mbps

Sorry the L009 device is a "to low-cpu" powered device. There is no HW accelerated encryption / decryption using WG. I love my L009 device for home using - low energy consumption a little "NAS" and container with linux. Knowing the limitation(include WIFI) of this little red devi...

Re: Audience "wifi3" goes in a unwanted state | UPDATE2 2/20/24 | possible solution downgrade to 7.13.2 [SOLVED]

Hello, after a week, the problem comes back, better it's never gone, a radar-event is detected and interface "wifi3" goes down for ever until reboot or disable / enable cycle. :( It shows state "running" no frequency is shown and tx power shows 31. But there is no operation, no S...

Audience "wifi3" goes in a unwanted state | UPDATE2 2/20/24 | possible solution downgrade to 7.13.2 [SOLVED]

Update 2: Now working workaround(time range 2 days): Downgrade to ROS to 7.13.2. 2 radar events are registered and "wifi3" come up again on another frequency. After 1 or 2 weeks I'll set it to "resolved" Update 1: It is not necessary to restart the device, it is sufficient to de...

Re: Wi-Fi speeds measured and improved - Ethernet Parameter can help

The Ethernet speed was never 100 Mbit, it was always 1 Gbit The Ethernet is fine! The Ethernet is a CAT5e cabling. Measurements Ethernet to Ethernet are around 970 Mbit (iperf / filecopy)- if a real PC is used on both sides, because the Raspi manages a maximum of around 500 Mbit. Setting this parame...

Wi-Fi speeds measured and improved - Ethernet Parameter can help

Hello Mikrotik Wifi Fans :-) Mikrotik is always said to have slower WiFi speeds than other manufacturers - That is often correct. But a parameter can help - at a point where you wouldn't expect it - with the Ethernet parameters Yes, correct Ethernet (not WIFI) Normally, WLAN is connected to several ...

Re: Enable control of "Audience" color LED via ROS [SOLVED]

Hello, where can i find a manual that is correct for the audience? When using it with 3 working APs (1 x 2,4g and 2 x 5g wifi band) the LEDs are on in different colours. Sometimes the LED is blue, sometime the LED has a amber colour etc. Only 1 point in the manual are correct: 1. Booting > blue Is t...

Re: Audience and 12V power

Hello, same here

my audience don't start up with 12v power input.
With 24V, on the other hand, it runs without any problems.
You need about 16V to start up this device(tested it with adjustable power supply).
The input jack is labeled with
12-57V
, that is wrong :D

Wireless and Mikrotik - one settlement

Hello Mikrotik WiFi friends(or enemies) :D … I made a little measurement / competition between the „MT Audience“ and a "German Fritzbox 7590". I measured different areas. Such as routing, filtering, wireless etc. When it comes to area „WiFi“, the "German Fritz" clearly wins in ma...
