One last question: Do I download and use the Netinstall version for RouterOS 6 or the one for 7 when upgrading from 6.49.17 to 7.x?

There are two when I look under the download section. One under v6 and one under v7.

Keep in mind for netinstall: on 7.13+ you need wireless or wifi-qcom-ac package additionally to main package.

So, if I install 7.13 or later, do I need to add the wifi-qcom-ac from the extra package to get wifiwave2? If I don’t, will I just get the regular wireless?

My suggestions:

1. 7.15.3
2. do a netinstall

Won't help much with wifi though.

Why not? I’ve heard that some people experience or have achieved better Wi-Fi performance through wifiwave2.

I understand, but if I import block by block, won't I just bring the problem back again? Can't the exported file be cleaned up somehow? I currently have a solution to the problem that is relatively quick, but going through all the steps you mentioned seems like it will take a lot of time.

Hi, I have a MikroTik hAP ac3. Almost every time I update it, it crashes, and I have to reset it and reload the configuration. Any tips on a solution or what might be causing this? (I'm running 6.49.17 now)

I don't know why but after I update to6.49.10 and a reboot and upgraded the routerboard my Mikrotik Hap-AC3 died!
Only thing I could see was that the LAN icon in the front of the mikrotik flashed. Nothing else.

I had to reset the mikrotik and restore from backup.

My was 12h off. I had to manually set my time.
Then Enabled SNTP and added se.pool.ntp.org as servers.

Try to change location from UK to United States to se if you get better signal strength. I live in Sweden and when I change my location my signal gets stronger
